The tears of ignorant hearts

Tears fall down as the hearts of adolescents shatter,

Ignorance is finally gone.

The naive finally see the world,

as if they ate from the tree of knowledge.

Knowing that nothing is what it seems,

that not everything is true.

If the young learn this early on,

they will be better off in the end.

But when do we know, for a fact

that we know, and have seen

everything there is to see.

We don’t.

Life is a mystery that we constantly try to figure out.

It’s a game that everyone wants to win.
