Chapter 7

Chases POV

We're all at Katies house again, after knowing the prophecies, we realised we had no idea what our powers could stretch too so Katies mum has called in some friends of hers, lets just say they are not from this dimension they're from our true dimension. He magical one which we now know is called INSIGNATIA.

" Kids, " Katies mum addressed us as she walked back into the room with 4 people who did not look like they were, well human. They could have been mistaken as humans though and there were only subtle differences like, slightly pointed ears, and the brightness of their hair( they were colours like shocking pink, deep but bright purple and baby blue, grass green) we however found out later that humans saw them as completely normal. Katies mother continued interrupting my thoughts. " these are my friend from Insigatia. Jane," she pointed to the woman with shocking pink hair who raised her hand to us in greeting.

" this is Tina " she pointed to the woman with bright purple hair who said hi.

" this is Jim " she pointed to the man with blue hair who said hello.

And then she pointed to the last man who had grass green hair, " hey, I'm Timothy but you can call me Tim. "

" as you all know I have friends in a few dimensions. Now each of you are going to have your own mentor but you will have lessons in magic together. Now all we need to decide is how we will give you lessons when you have school then go home, in short what excuses we will give your parents. Katie obviously your ok. " said Katies mum in a rush.

" any ideas? " asked Jane.

" well...." said Kitty quietly, I've never noticed how cute she is when she blushes. " we, we could go into the mountains, I know what your gonna say but we could yell our parents that you are doing am experiment with the local university, where we are trying to see if home education in small groups and in a secluded area is a good way of educating? " she said it like a question rather than a statement.

" yes that's a great idea Kitty!" exclaimed Katies mum enthusiastically.

" should we go call our parents now then? " asked Kyle.

" yes I think that's the best idea we are gonna get right? " I asked.

" yes go call them." said Katies mum.

Once I had cexplained to my mum she was all for the idea, you see she has had a bad time recently she's struggling to pay the bills and with one less person to run up the electric. And I'm pretty sure that was the case with the others.

" ok so now we will give each of you your mentors and then we will begin your first lesson.

" Katie, your going to be working with me." said Tim.

" Kitty, your gonna be working with me." said Tina.

" Chase, you are going to be working with me " said Jane, I smiled because she seemed nice and then Kitty elbowed me and gave me a warning stare. Which I found cute so I enlaced my fingers with hers and squeezed her hand.

" Kyle you are going to be working with me, and just so ya know I am the best teacher." said Jim who then laughed but his fun was cut short when Jane coughed and at the same time said " that what you think."

We all laughed for a long time.

Kittys POV

I was glad that Tina was my mentor, she looked like she was the closest one to my age and so would probably understand me better.

" ok so for this first how should we put this, shall we call them ' tricks ' I mean obviously there not but thats what we will call them. Any who you will need to concentrate. I want you to see if you can create a fire ball in the palm of your hand. It's difficult but I think you can do it. My mother was best friends with the previous ' Elements ' so I know how to help you learn them before you ask.... Its the same with the other mentors."

" cool" I opened my hands and focused as hard as I could on visualising a fire ball in the palm of my hand.

" Well done, I knew you'd learn fast but wow." I heard Tina say obviously shocked and impressed. I slowly opened my eyes and looked down at my hand and there within them was a fire ball the size of an apple. I could only tell it was hot because of the slight warmth traveling up my arm. It was beautiful.

Pretty soon Chase, Katie, Kyle and there mentors were all surrounding me after, running to the back yard from where they had been working in various places in Katies house.
