The two played until sunrise, in which time Griff had switched to sitting sideways on the couch, his legs on either side of Amy. Amy was leaned back against Griff's chest, happily chomping zombies. The long match finally ended and Amy yawned sleepily. She felt her controller be taken gently from her paws. She stretched luxuriously and yawned again, her sharp white fangs showing. The tv turned black and she felt Griff pull her close to him. The lynx turned on her side and laid her head on Griff's chest. Amy felt his strong arms wrap around her and his soft tail brush her foot as he settled into a more comfortable position. Something about Griff always made her feel more safe, and it was always easier to sleep when he was around.

"Griff?" Griff's deep voice grunted. "What time is it?" Amy felt him shift to reach his phone that was laying on the table. "It's 6:30 A.M. it looks like." Surprise flashed in her mind. "Really? It doesn't seem that early." Griff grunted, "Uh-huh. At least I don't have to work until 9:00." Amy leaned up and looked at Griff. He propped himself up on the couch. "What?" Amy looked at him apologetically. "I'm so sorry Griff! I didn't know you had work today. I assumed you were off because you came over." Griff looked at her with a teasing expression. "Hey, that's what coffee is for right?" When she didn't laugh Griff's expression changed to one of concern. "I would come over at any time of day, or night, if you have a nightmare. I thought you knew that." Amy felt touched, she didn't know anyone actually cared about her that much. "Well, if you have work in just three hours, then we better try to get some sleep." Amy said a quick prayer and rubbed the golden cross that hung around her neck. Griff smiled at her and laid back down.

Amy shook her head, "Uh-uh. A big boy like you won't get a very good sleep if he sleeps on something small like this couch. You're following me." Amy pushed herself up from the couch and started to walk off to her bedroom. She walked into her room and flicked the light on. The room was a forest green color with a tan carpet floor and everything was a cool dark color, Amy's attempt to try and help herself sleep. She turned back to see Griff standing in her doorway. "What are you waiting for?" She asked. Griff shook his head sheepishly. "It doesn't feel right to be in here with you while you're sleeping." Amy laughed.

"Well, I invited you in here so don't worry. The bed is king-sized so you have plenty of room between us. And if it really bothers you, there's a body pillow in my closet to put between us." Griff smiled at her, "Umm, would you happen to have any clothes that might fit me? These jeans aren't exactly comfortable. Neither is this jacket." Griff tugged at his leather jacket indicating how it would be uncomfortable to sleep in. Amy shook her head, feeling amused. "Yeah, hold on a second." She turned and walked to her dresser, digging through the clothes within.

"Here." She tossed one of her baggiest cotton shirts and a pair of baggy black shorts. Griff caught them and held them up in front of himself. "These shorts might be a little snug but everything should fit fine." Amy nodded. "That's good." She sat on her bed and caught Griff's jacket as he threw at her. When she could see again he had the shirt on. She started laughing and Griff stopped and looked at her. "What?" He asked. Amy stopped laughing for a moment to answer. "Go look in the mirror, I forgot that shirt had that on there." She watched as the bewildered tiger left the room. She sat quietly and heard him started roaring with laughter. He came staggering back holding his stomach. "Oh my gosh. Wow, it fits so well." The t-shirt had a picture of a roaring tiger on it that read "Sleeping with the tigers." Both of the big cats laughed for a few moments more before Amy stopped and wiped her eyes with her paw. "Oh, I haven't seen that shirt in years, I'd forgotten about it."
