Amy grinned. "Well, I enjoyed waking you up, and you did stay up until 6:30 in the morning so it's understandable for you to be tired. Anyway, get your butt up and meet me in the kitchen once you get dressed. I'll have the biscuits ready and the coffee going." Griff smiled back at her sleepily. "Thanks hun." Amy turned and walked out of her bedroom, heading for the bathroom. She finished brushing her teeth and spat out the excess toothpaste. She wiped her face with a hand towel and trotted off towards the kitchen. She flipped the lights on and grabbed the coffee from the shelf.

She set down the bag and turned on the pot in passing, going to grab the biscuits. She pulled the plastic baggie out of the cupboard and grabbed three biscuits, throwing them on a plate. She put them in the microwave and set the timer, going back to the coffee pot and fixing two cups of coffee. As she was pouring the second cup of coffee from the pot she looked up to see Griff walking in, dressed once more in his jeans and cyan jacket. He yawned and rubbed his eyes with a paw. "Hey Amy. Thanks for breakfast."

He smiled at her and turned and grabbed the biscuits out of the microwave as the timer went off. They both walked over to the island and Griff set down the biscuits on the stone surface. Amy set a cup of coffee down in front of him and then dragged a stool over to the other side and sat down across from him.Griff leaned over and grabbed a biscuit, smelling it as steam rose off of it in waves. "What all is on it?" He asked. Amy picked a biscuit and took a bite, "Cheese, chicken, and a fried egg." she told him.

He nodded appreciatively and took a large bite out of the hot biscuit. Swallowing he complemented Amy's cooking, "This is really good hun, the coffee has a really nice flavor. Where did you buy the stuff for it?"
"Well, the coffee is hand-ground, I bought the beans fresh from the Farmer's Market last Friday afternoon. Same with the cheese. The chicken is fresh caught, I found some wild chickens when I went hunting recently." Griff looked at her with a slightly surprised look. "It is ok for you to go hunting, after what happened?" Amy looked at him, feeling confused.

"Yeah, of course it's ok. I mean guns weren-" Amy stopped herself, and changed what she was going to say. "Since it happened so long ago, I can be around guns, and even use them. It's kind of surprising really. I guess it's just the terror of it and the memory of it that keeps me like this."
Griff said nothing in return and went back to eating his biscuit. The silence stretched between them when Amy finally put down her coffee and looked at Griff. "So, what happened to the body pillow?"
