Griff looked up at her with a full mouth. "Hm?" Amy laughed, "The body pillow that you put between us before we went to sleep. When I woke up it was gone and you had your arms around me." Griff's face went scarlet and he swallowed his mouthful, with some evident difficulty. "I uh, I.." He stammered. He cleared his throat and Amy stared at him, feeling confused. "I woke up at one point and you were shaking and twitching. I uh, pulled you towards me and you calmed down and relaxed. I guess I fell asleep like that."

Amy smiled sweetly and put her paw over his. "Thank you Griff. I guess I was about to go into another nightmare. That's strange to have, or almost have I guess, two nightmares in one night. I usually just wake up for a few hours and when I go back to sleep I don't have another one." Griff's phone went off and he removed his paw from out from under Amy's. He picked up his phone and looked at it, his ears suddenly going back. "What is it?" Amy asked. Griff looked at his phone worriedly. "It's my boss. I wasn't notified that he was going to call me to talk about anything."

He answered the phone and put it hesitantly up to his ear. "Hello?" Amy noticed that even for being worried, his voice stayed steady. "Yes sir. Oh, ok. Yes, right away sir." Griff put his phone down and looked at Amy, his face visibly more relaxed. "It seems one of the clients overworked himself and pulled a shoulder muscle. They can't tell if it's really serious or not. Since I'm the only one who knows how to help I've got to go in and fix him up. Oh well, I had to go in in just a few minutes anyway. Sorry to have to dash off like this."

Amy smiled at him. "Hey, it's okay Griff, I understand. Go and help that poor muscle-puller. I should probably get started on the work for the day anyway." Griff stood up and pushed his stool in, and Amy followed suit. Griff walked over and wrapped Amy in a strong hug and laid his chin on the top of her soft head, both of them standing still for a few moments. He finally pulled away and took her paws in his own large ones.

He looked her in the eyes and spoke softly. "I'm so sorry that I can't do more for your nightmares, just.. just call me and let me know when you have another one. It doesn't matter how bad it is, let me know because I want to be here for you. I'll come over anytime you need me too, and even when you think you don't need me as well." He pulled away and started to leave, grabbing his things and commenting over his shoulder, "Everybody needs company every now and then, and they usually need it even more when they think they don't." Amy shook her head and smiled, following Griff to the doorway and waving at him as he backed out of the driveway.

(A/N I'm so sorry for not posting more often! I'm also sorry about the fact that I suck at naming chapters. :/)
