Chapter 16: Rude Awakening

Justin's P.O.V

The sound of someone knocking wakes me up. I look to Emma whose head is on my chest. Her blonde hair covers half of her face before I tuck them behind her ear. The knock comes again. I groan, gently removing Emma's head, placing it on a pillow. She mumbles something I can't quite understand and falls back asleep. Pulling the covers over Emma to hide her bare body, I look at the time on my phone; 12:30pm. We slept in. The knock comes louder once more, ruining the last bit of patience I have. I adjust my briefs and open the door slightly ajar.

"Um. Hey. Sorry to disturb you but everyone is downstairs. We are all waiting on you guys. Jason is taking everyone to the lake." Ava speaks, looking intimidated. She notices me in only my briefs and her cheeks flush. "I'll allow you to get ready."

I nod before she turns and stalks down the hall. I close the door, locking it again. I look towards Emma, advancing to the bed. I kiss her forehead, earning a moan in return.

"Em. Wake up." I gently shake her.

"No... Let me sleep!" She groans, stuffing her face in a pillow.

"Come on, baby. It's nearly one in the afternoon." I hate waking her up because she looks so fucking cute when she sleeps. If I had the choice, I'd join her and sleep in all day but everyone expects us downstairs.

"Join me, please." She lifts the comforter, inviting me in. Ah, how can five minutes laying with her, hurt anyone? I give in to her tempt and pull her close to me, her bare back to my chest. I nuzzle my face in the crook of her neck as she giggles.

"Five minutes. That's all I'm giving. If it was up to me, I'd take you right here on this bed again but we both know I can't do it that fast." I tell her. She buries her head in the pillow to hide her blush. We both lay in silence for the rest of the time. Emma fell asleep once again. I close my eyes before another knock is heard.

"What the fuck?" Annoyance clear in my voice when I open the door.

"Everyone is leaving for the lake. You guys take too long so we will see you there." Josh informs me. "Jason said to lock the house after you leave."

"What are you guys doing after the lake?" I ask.

"We will be staying there until 6. Then we might grab dinner and make our way to the fair that's going on."

"The yearly carnival fair?" I question.

"Yeah. That one." I hear Josh's name being called. "Well, we will see you guys there. Later!"

He runs down the hall and down the stairs. I close the door once more. I have Jason's entire house to myself and the one girl I am crazy about is here with me. Five minutes just turned into Happy hour.

"I'll find you!" I laugh. Currently I had managed to get Goody two shoes to wake up but now she was running from me. This is certainly a first. Girls don't run from me, they run towards me. I hear her laughter around the corner. Making my way to the corner, I find a paper taped to the wall with writing on it. It read, Good Luck finding me! When did she have time to make this?

"Why does Jason have such a big house?" I mutter to myself. There's too many places for her to hide.

I stop for a second as I stand silent listening for her foot steps. A minute later I hear the pitter patter of her small feet running across the marble floor. I walk stealthily towards the direction I hear her from. Her back turned to me, I make the best of the opportunity and grab her from behind. She screams.

"Look who I found." I disguise my voice, sounding incredibly lower than I expected. I feel her body shiver under my touch before I hear soft sobs. I release my hold on her and spin her to face me. "Emma? Why are you crying?"
