Author's Note: Just to clear up any confusion, when it says Dad, it's referring to Talon. Also, when Crystal calls Drea "Dre," it's like grey with a D instead of a G.

Dedicated to the greatest friend ever (do we classify as friends?), Jarod! Or JearFreakinBear, if we use his Wattpad username. Thank you for listening to me. Thank you for being someone I can talk to. Thank you for being awesome. Thank you for every time you've made me laugh. Thank you for giving me confidence in my writing. Just thanks for being such a perfect friend. I know we haven't been friends for very long but I already can't imagine living life without you. Btw if you're not already texting me when you read this, you should text me.

"Happy birthday!" Dad yelled, running into my room and launching on top me. I laughed and pushed him off of me.

"Thanks, Dad. Happy birthday to you too," I replied.

"I can't believe my little Crystal is already 18 years old! When did you grow up?"

"Um, over the last 18 years. I can't believe that you're 34! You're getting old."

"I am not!" Dad yelled. "34 is not that old."

I stood up from my bed and stretched. "Whatever, Talon."

Dad frowned. "I hate it when you call me Talon. I've been raising you since you were born. I'm your Dad."

"Sorry," I muttered. "It's just... I wonder, you know? Mom never tells me about my real Dad. I mean, I'm 18 years old! I think I'm old enough to hear about him. How did he die? What was he like? I want to know! I love you and you will always be my Dad. It's just sometimes I wanna know about my other one."

"Crystal, we've talked about this. Your mother keeps the information away from you to protect you. She doesn't want you getting hurt."

"Don't you think I've been protected for long enough?"

Dad sighed. "I'll talk to your Mom, okay? I think it may be time to tell you the truth."

I smiled. "Thanks, Dad."

"Your welcome. I love you."

"I love you, too."

At that moment, my little brother, Cane walked in. He's two years younger than me and looks a lot like Dad, with dark brown hair and a big smile. Cane and I are so close. As his older sister, I feel extremely protective of him. Although, he usually ends up protecting me.

"Happy birthday, Crystal! Happy birthday Dad!" Cane said as he walked in. Then he turned to face me. "Drea wants to meet up with us in the meadow. She said it's important."

"Mom's making breakfast," Dad said.

"We'll be back before too long," Cane promised. Without another word from Dad, Cane grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room. The two of us ran through the house, grabbing our shoes quickly before walking out the door.

"I thought Drea was coming over with Rayne and Gale this morning," I said to Cane as we walked toward the Meadow, out of the Victor's Village.

"She said that she had something private to say to us," Cane replied. "Rayne and Gale should be at the house when we get back."

It didn't take too long to get to the meadow. Drea was already there when we arrived. She was sitting amongst the flowers, picking at the grass. She noticed us as we crawled under the fence. The electricity is never on anymore. No one gets in trouble for sneaking under is, considering how the president of Panem does it all the time.

Drea looks a lot like her mother, Rayne. She has the fair skin, the flawless body and the blonde hair. The only difference is that Drea has her father's eyes. Drea's so beautiful. All the boys completely fall in love with her.
