Chris POV

Kehlani sat across me. She smiled. "Wassup ma?" I asked her. She rolled her eyes. I smiled and watched as she looked at the menu.

When I first saw her, I felt like we had something. I mean, she had this sparkle in her eye that made me wonder what our children would look like.

She looked up at me. "Why are you staring at me?" she asked.

"You're just too damn beautiful." She rolled her eyes. I laughed and looked at the menu.

"So what made you move down here?" she asked. I looked at her.

"What made you move down here?" I asked her.

"Because it was what I could afford. You on the other hand can afford more."

"And you are completely right." I told her. She nodded. "I guess because of all the great opportunities in the neighborhood. There is a lot more kids for Royalty to hang out with instead of just King."

"I just realized that there is a lot of kids." she smiled. 'I don't pay attention like I should."

"Well I guess that gives us something in common." I said. She nodded and smiled as the waitress came over.

"Hi. my name is Isabella. I'm your waitress. What can I get you right now? Drinks? Are you ready to order?" she asked smiling.

"Uh, can I have a raspberry tea." Kehlani asked.

"And can I have a pepsi."

"Yep. I'll be right back with your drinks." She walked away. I looked at Kehlani. She smiled as her phone lit up. She looked at me.

"Sorry. I uh, the girl who opened the door that day, she's texting me. I rather not tell you what it's about."

"No problem. I know how crazy best friends get."

"Oh no. Uh, I'm not like her. She's more of act on it, think about it later. I'm more of a uh, think about it now. Then act on it." I nodded as Isabella sat our drinks in front of us.

"Thank you." I said .She nodded.

"Uh, are you ready to order?"

"Yeah. I am. How bout you Lani?" She looked up at me confused.

"Huh?"
"Are you ready to order?" I asked.

"Uh, yeah." she said nervously.

"Ladies first." I said. Isabella sort of rolled her eyes. I ignored that and stared at Kehlani.

"Um, can I get the chicken fresco." Isabella nodded and wrote down her order.

"Can I get the grilled chicken and crab cake combo."

"Sure thing." Isabella said writing it down. 'Can I get you anything thing else. Like an appetizer or anything?"

"Four way sampler." I said looking at Kehlani. She nodded and smiled. Isabella took our menus and walked off. I sipped my pepsi. "So tell me about you." I said. She looked at me.

"Theres nothing really interesting about me."
'Well, uh. I don't really care if its interesting. I just wanna know about you."

"That's your goal is to know me?"

"Yeah." She smiled and nodded.

"Well, I lived with my aunt because my father died and my mother stayed in and out of prison." I nodded.

"And then, uh, I wanted to be a dancer but I was like nah, after i hurt my knee it wasn't going to happen. And that's about it." she said. I smiled and looked around the restaurant. I looked at her again.
