Chris POV
September came a lot faster than I had thought. One minute it was May, now it's September. We were going over some last minute things at the hall the night before when I CJ started walking. We all stopped what we were doing and watched as he wobbled over to his mother.
Kehlani smiled as he finally got over to her. "Oh my baby." she bent over to pick him up as he plopped down in front of her. I'll admit, even though this moment was about our son, seeing Kehlani bend over made my dick twitch. I grunted. She looked at me, standing up.
"I think it's time to go home don't ya think?" she asked nodding towards the sleeping children beside me. Royalty and Jasmine had fallen asleep about thirty minutes ago.
"Yeah, we'll see y'all tomorrow." I looked at the wedding planner and her workers. They nodded and said their goodbyes.
Once we got home, Kehlani had put Chris in his room while I laid the girls in their rooms. As I got finished covering Royalty up, I heard Kehlani creep up to the door. I looked over at her and smiled. She smiled brightly then took a step back as I walked in her direction. She waited in the hallway. I closed the door behind me and smiled.
"I can't believe we're really getting married tomorrow." she said walking into our room. I followed behind her.
"Well believe it baby." she turned and looked at me as she took her shirt off. I groaned. "Don't do that." I mumbled. She furrowed her eyebrows.
"What? I can't get undressed?" she asked.
"You know it's bad luck for the bride and the groom to see each other the night before the wedding, right?"
"You know it's also bad luck for the groom to see the dress before the wedding and you picked it out." she reminded me. "Fuck all the stupid bullshit, none of that shit matters to me because I know we're meant to be." she walked over to me and smiled. "I love you, Christopher." she kissed me quickly and gently. Not giving me a lot of time to react. She sighed.
"What?" I asked.
"I went to the doctors the other day."
"Yeah?"
"I got birth control." I looked into her eyes.
"Why?"
"Because."
"Because of what?"
"Because I'm tired of getting pregnant and losing the babies, Chris." I stared at her silently. "I was pregnant again, after the twins."
"When?"
"In May. But I lost it."
"Why didn't you tell me about it?"
"I didn't know I was pregnant until I had the miscarriage. I had that same feeling. The same feeling I had two years ago." I saw tears starting to form in her eyes. "They told me I had a miscarriage and I didn't know how to tell you or if I should tell you."
"What made you tell me now?" I asked curiously. She sniffled.
"I saw that look in your eyes. The same look I always saw whenever I ended up pregnant. But I knew that this time, it wouldn't happen." I wiped the tears from her eyes and kissed her. "I'm sorry." she whispered against my lips.
I woke up the next morning with Kehlani laid on my chest as always. I smiled to myself and was about to fall back to sleep when our door burst open. I looked over at the door and saw Trey, Mijo, Tyga, Jhene, Teyanna, Iman, Junie, all three of my children and my mother standing in the doorway. I frowned.
"What the fuck?" I mumbled.
"Time to get married." Teyanna said excitedly. I looked over Kehlani who just woke up and covered herself up more. "Come on gurl. We got to get ready. We only got two hours before the wedding." I looked over at the alarm clock sitting on my side of the bed. 12:25 pm I watched as Teyanna, Jhene and my mother walked out the room with Kehlani in front of them.
"Why the fuck y'all get us up so late?"
Kehlani POV
The next couple of hours went by quickly. There was a lot of squealing and crying. Mostly from Chris's mother. And a lot of singing. Again, mostly by his mother. When they had finally finished my hair and makeup, I looked in the mirror and smiled.
"You look beautiful." Teyanna said standing beside me.
"Thank you." I smiled and leaned down to pick up Jasmine. She cooed and tried to mess with my makeup. "Oh, no baby girl. Auntie T would kill me." I said chuckling as I kissed her cheek leaving a red stain from my lipstick.
"Best believe that. But maybe after your wedding though. Wouldn't want Chris to be sad would we?" I shook my head and chuckled. "Come on, time to get married honey bun." I smiled as I folwed her down the hall. We waited outside the doors and waited for the usher to open it. I smiled as the door opened. Everybody stood to their feet and looked at us. I was happy to start this new chapter in my life. Marriage.
I saw Chris staring at me at the back of the room. He smiled. I grinned and bit my lip to stop myself from looking absolutely crazy. When I had finally reached the end of the aisle, Chris looked at me with the same look that drove me crazy. Damn near made my knees weak. He bit his lip and helped me step up onto the little stage thing they had going on.
"After we're finished here, meet me in the bathroom," he whispered. I looked at him, already knowing why he wanted to meet there. I nodded and looked over at the preacher. He smiled at the both of us.
"Is there anyone who objects to this marriage? Please speak now or forever hold your peace." I looked around the room. No one said a thing. I looked back at Chris. Who never took his eyes off me. I don't know what was said next because all I could focus on was Chris. And it seemed like all he could focus on was me.
"Ahem." the preacher said. I finally broke eye contact with Chris and looked over at him. Everyone started laughing. "I see you too weren't really paying attention so we'll just skip ahead so I won't waste my breath much more." he cleared his throat. "Do you, Kehlani Parrish take Christopher Brown as your lawfully wedded husband?" I looked at Chris and nodded.
"I do."
"Good, and do you Christopher Brown take Kehlani Parrish as your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do." Chris said.
"Well with the power invested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
