Darkness Eight

Chapter Eight

He looked at me puzzled, and then scared. It was obvious he didn't know what I was talking about, but I knew. It probably wasn't true and I wouldn't know unless he explains this to me. Even if he did I'm pretty sure what I said would be right. I looked up at him and his eyes were green. He seemed frustrated yet calm as ever. It was like he didn't know what to say, he seemed speechless. There wasn't much to say after everything that happened. My heart dropped into my stomach and the little sanity I had was gone. Gone, completely GONE!

My door opened and in came Olivia with some other girl and Mike. I was confused as to why they just barraged in my room like that. Then Olivia went and picked up Taylor. I didn't know what was going on and that other girl kept staring at me which was beginning to be a problem. "Who are you?" I asked her wanting her to stop looking at me.

"I'm Arianne, you can just call me Anne." She said smirking at me. "What happened to Taylor?"

"She got hit with, well you know." Nick said standing up. "Skylar would of been the one to get hit, but I managed to save her from that." He said grabbing my hand and pulling me towards him.

If it wasn't for him I would of been in the situation Taylor was in. I preferred it be laying unconscious, not able to move a single inch of my body. She didn't have any reason to be in this, this chaotic mess. I felt bad, I could get everyone hurt. If I do I would never forgive myself for that.

Olivia headed for the door, but before she left she looked at me. "Don't worry yourself Skylar, everything will be okay." She said smiling at me and then she walked away taking Taylor with her.

"Where is she taking her?" I asked Nick worried she might hurt her.

"She's taking her to the infirmary. The best place for her to heal." He said. He hugged me and kissed my fore head.

"Does she know?" Mike asked. "Does she, or is this new to her."

"Obviously this is all new to her. Look at how scared she looks, poor thing must be terrified." Arianne said pulling me into her arms.

She was right, I was terrified. I was scared of getting all these innocent people hurt. These people trying to help me. HELP ME! This is something I don't understand at all. I looked at Arianne who was still trying to comfort me, but that wasn't working at all. "What should I know?" I asked all three of them. If this had something to do with me I should know.

"Nick! You idiot you didn't tell her!' Mike yelled in his face.

"I thought she would of known okay!' He said yelling back at him.

"Can someone please explain to me what's going on?!" I yelled at them all and they stared at me shocked I even yelled. What did they expect though.

"Listen, your the only one that can stop this madness going on, we need you to use your powers." Arianne said so gracefully.

"Powers, what powers?" I had no ideal what she was talking about. The only power I had was to change myself from human to vampire and I couldn't even really do that anymore.

"She doesn't know about that either. WHAT THE HELL NICK!' Arianne slapped right across the face and rolled her eyes. "You just had to my brother didn't you?"

"Will you two STOP WITH THE NONSENSE AND FOCUS ON THE PROBLEM AT HAND!" Mike yelled at them and then walked up to me. "It's obvious she doesn't know because she can't control her powers. This stuff takes time." He said calmly and frowned at them.

"How did you know I couldn't control my powers?" It wasn't supposed to be known to people that I couldn't control them. That was supposed to be a secret that I only knew.

"Hmm, okay, okay will just have to wait before we do anything stupid." Arianne said "It's the best we could do anyway.' She finished walking out the door.

"Will meet again sometime tomorrow. Best thing to do is for everyone to get some sleep." Mike smiled at me and left out too.

Then again it was us two alone. Something I really didn't want. Every time were alone, we end up doing something crazy. I started to change my clothes and I felt his hands move down from my shoulders to the tips of my hands. I closed my eyes and opened them again. He smirked and grabbed my waist pulling me closer to him.

He whispered in my ear softly and sweetly "I'm sorry Sky."

I smiled a little and turned to face him. I grabbed on to his shirt and whispered back to him "Will you be mine forever?" I asked wanting him to say yes.

"Of course!' he said back to me and he chuckled.

He picked me up and carried me all the way to my bed. He laid me down and got over. I wasn't expecting this at all. It was like a miracle just happening. He leaned down to me and I closed my eyes. I felt his lips press against mine and that made everything in my head just disappear. His kisses were so intense, so soft yet hard. I enjoyed every minute of it and I felt something in my body shoot up to my heart. This is what love exactly felt like. It was the best feeling in the world.

He stopped and smiled at me putting my hair behind my ear. "You know I didn't mean to put you through any of this." He said moving to the side of me, holding his hands on my waist.

I looked at him and placed my hand on his cheek. I wasn't in any real danger, at least I don't think so it didn't matter. "You didn't do anything wrong, but protect me. That's all I can ask for."

"But what if you ended up being hurt just like Taylor. It would all be my fault if anything happens to her, especially if anything happens to you Sky." He said sounding so scared.

"Trust me Nick, you have nothing to worry about, I promise you." I said trying to comfort him.

He just smiled and hugged me tightly and smirked. I was hoping he wouldn't worry about this anymore. It was the beginning of school and he had no reason to worry about any of this. If anyone should be at fault it should be me. If I wasn't so eager to go down and see what was going on none of this would of happened. We wouldn't be in this at all. I got comfortable in his arms and slowly fell asleep. Hopefully tomorrow would be a better day.
