Darkness Nineteen

Chapter Nineteen

"Did you miss me?" His voice said getting closer to me."

I struggled to stand up and I was shocked to see him already. I thought Mike would of finished him off already. I didn't want to be the one to fight him. Not me, not now. I didn't even have the strength to do anything. I knew I would have to kill time, Arianne or somebody would be here soon to come help me. "I actually did miss you." I said watching his every move.

"Oh you did now." He said raising his eyebrow.

"Yeah, I missed watching you get demolished by my boyfriend and friends." I said to him folding my arms. "I missed you getting mad over stupid stuff and Arianne smacking you in the face." I continued. "I just missed the fact that you humiliated yourself in front of everyone just to make me look bad, Nick." I finished giving him the fakest smile ever.

"Ha-ha," He laughed, "You're funny you know?" He said. "Real funny kid. Do you want to know what I missed?" He asked me sounding like he really didn't want to tell me.

"Sure, knock yourself out, literally." I said rolling my eyes at him.

"I missed how I used you just to make Mike suffer the pain once more," He stared, "I missed the fact that you actually believed everything I said." he started laughing again, "I just missed how helpless you were and how stupid you were to notice I didn't really want you." He laughed some more then stopped.

We stared each other down not moving or making a single sound. The only thing you can hear was our breathing. I was ready for this nonsense to be over and done with. It was really starting to get on my nerves. Today I didn't care what happened to me, I just wanted it OVER!

I took one step forward and shook my head. "What are you waiting for?" I asked him.

He looked at me confused as ever. "What are you talking about?" he said acting like he didn't know. Maybe he didn't though.

"You got your chance, why not kill me now huh?" I started. "That's why you brought all those people here, so you can finally get your chance to get me alone and kill me." I giggled. "Well let me tell you something Mr. Mr., Taylor already tried that and I wasn't afraid to kill her so I'm not afraid to kill you either." I finished.

"Oh so you found out about Taylor, she's another person that played you." He said inching closer to me. "And there's many more to come." He said all calmly.

"Arianne, Olivia, Cole, and Mike would never do the things you two did to me." I said getting frustrated.

"Please child, you don't know them. I've been with them all my life so I would know that there going to play you. Not yet but soon, you just watch." He started, "You may think these people are your friends, but honey you got another thing coming. It's not showing yet, but eventually you'll see for yourself." He added and moved back some.

I frowned and balled up my fist. I wanted to punch him so bad, but I was afraid that if I move I'll get myself hurt. So I stayed in my spot wanting to go over to him and get him good.

He was taking everything as a joke. He thought everything was fun and games, but he was wrong. this was a serious manner. He was going to kill me and I had to stop it from happening. No one had showed up yet and I was getting worried that they all had, well, moved on. I hoped that they didn't because I really need them at this time.

He looked at me and stretched his self out. "Okay enough talking time to get this over with." He said to me not seeming to care that he was about to kill me.

"You son of a bitch." I said in a shaky voice.

"I sure am a son of a bitch and I'm proud to be one," he said back, "Don't worry it won't hurt at all, I promise." he lifted up his hand and shut it close. Then he pulled his arm back making a grunting noise.

I fell to the floor and felt the pain right in my neck. It felt like my head was about to pop right off. He was choking me just like the last time, but it was worse. My eyes started getting watery and they start popping out of my head turning red. I heard my bones cracking together and I knew it was the end.

Just then Arianne, Olivia and Cole came running in, but he did the same to them. just with the look of his eye.

"Stop, Nick, you don't need to do this." Cole said struggling to talk.

"And who's going to stop me?" Nick said back to him. "None of you have the strength or the power to stop me! I'm UNSTOPPABLE!" He laughed and laughed.

Then I saw Mike walking in the school with a limp. He grabbed on to the door and he was breathing heavily. "Your not unstoppable, Nick." He said looking up to us. His face was nearly covered in blood and his shirt was ripped off.

I sighed at how badly hurt he looked. It was all my fault too.

Nick let go of all of us and turned towards Mike, "You can't stop me, I mean look at you, you can't even defend yourself against me." He said with a smirk on his face.

"I wouldn't get to sure of yourself if I were you." Mike said back to him.

"Oh yeah huh?" Nick raised his eyebrow and then shot a flame of light his way.

I thought he was a goner, but when the smoke cleared he was still standing. This time he was standing straight up. I was surprised to see that he had the strength, so was everyone else.

The most surprised was Nick and sent another one his way, but Mike threw it right back to him and he ended up on the ground.

Mike walked over him and smirked, "I told you, don't get to full of yourself and you did just that." he said to Nick who was laying on the floor not moving.

Mike shook his head, "Your pathetic, this fight is over." Mike came walking over to me with distortion in his face.

I saw Nick from behind Mike and I saw he was getting ready to attack. I took the nearest thing to me, pushed Mike out of the way, and got Nick right in the heart. Everything went black and I saw nothing but the two of us. He had blood coming from his chest and he was screaming in pain. I smiled a little and frowned at him.

"This isn't over!" he said yelling at me.

"Well for now, it is." I said and then he disappeared into pieces.

Everything came back to color and I saw them looking at me. They came running towards me hugging me with relief in my soul. Mike came to me and hugged me tightly. I hugged him back and was happy to be in his warmth.

Everyone got changed from the clothes that were all bloody and dirty, to something comfortable. I went out to the top of the hill with Mike and felt the nice breeze flowing through my hair. I closed my eyes and smiled. I felt a little bit of that greyness go away. All that darkness that filled up inside me had disappeared, well somewhat. I felt much happier.

Mike came up behind me and touched my waist. I looked up at him and smiled.

He smiled back and grabbed my tightly, "Thank you." He said to me with his eyes closed.

"For what?" I asked him laying my head in his chest.

"Thanks you for saving me back there, I would of died if it wasn't for you."

"Oh, your welcome." I said turning to him to enjoy a nice passionate kiss.

"At least this is all over, and we get to finally go home."

I nodded my head wrapped my arms around him as he did to me. The one thing I knew was that this wasn't over. The war was still going on. Nick would be back with his incompetent group of people and we would have to go through this again. This time, I will be ready.
