Here I sat waiting as patiently and quietly as I could. I sat in a seat directly across from Thomas. His head was down and though it was quiet you could still hear the muffled sniffles of his cries. He just sat and cried but I coulnt blame him, I was crying to. For the events that had just taken place were never ever going to be forgotten. Chuck. One of my bestfriend had just sacrificed him self for the boy sitting infront of me and the aura around us was silent and sad.

Two hours later the bus was getting to the point that I wanted out. Our diver was reckless and drove at such fast speed we had already hut a poor women that triend to attack Thomas. I finally got the courage to ask him.

Are you okay?

His head shot up and looked at me. His eyes where finally back to normal after crying for so long. He just stared and waited a minute to reply.

No. But I have to be.

I was about to say somthing back when the bus came to a sudden stop. The people who rescued us lead us into a colorful building. They sat us down and a few mintues later they came with somthing that I have not eaten for a while or at least I thought I havent or I couldn't remember. Pizza. Us gladers attacked it and didn't speak for if we did we thought it would dissapear. I ate every greasy delicous bite until I couldn't eat anymore. I looked at Thokas and he offered me his first smile since it happend. That same smile he gave me when I came in the box. The same one he gave me when we finally got out of the maze.

We all finished our food when our rescuers came back and told us it was time to sleep. I felt like a three year old but I didn't care I could sleep for a month. I nuged Newt in the sholulder and he just gave me a cheeky smile and limped after the man escorting us. I walked side by side with Thomas we didn't speak at all we just walked. All the boys were infront but Teresa was behind me. Teresa and I weren't always the best of friends but we still were at the same time. The boys all went into the room and we followed but the man leading us grabbed my arm.

"No girls just the boys in this room" he said.

He turned me around when a hand grabbed mine. I looked at who it was and saw Thomas. His eyes were filled with worried.

"Hey hey hey why can't they stay with us" he qiestioned.

The man and Thomas argued for a second before the man let go and lighly shoved me toward Thomas. Teresa and I walked in saw bunk beds. There was one for each boy but not for us girls. I thought to myself really Thomas you had to make us sleep in the same room. Teresa asked him where do us girls sleep but Thomas interupted.

"(Y/N) can sleep with me" he replied.

I looked at him and then I heard him.

I'm not letting you go away from me.

Thomas really I'll be fine you know I will.

He shook his head and pulled me closer to him. He knew I was stuborn but I was to tired to argue. Teresa decided to sleep in the other room but Thomas held me back. The man let us shower and do what ever and then we climed in our bunks. Here we were squished together with little room inbetween us. He lied facing me and just staring. I could tell he was talking to Teresa. He finally said goodbye I'm guessing because I suddenly heard a voice in my head.

Are you cold?

No.

Don't lie.

He came closer to me and I finally let him. Yes you can say I'm defient but I let him get close. We sat there laying and I finally let the darkness take over me. But before I did I heard him one last time.

Goodnight (Y/N).

I didn't anwser back I just squished closer to him and finally tried to sleep. He had a look on his face that I could barely make out it wasn't a smile but it almost was.

And for now, Almost was good enough.
