That Night

The air was uncomfortable around the school. You frown looking around uneasy. "It's definitely demonic... Do you think someone opened up a portal?" Law inquires warily.

"Probably..." You murmur and pause hearing a struggle around the corner. You and Zoro share a look before running toward the sound. You round the corner just as someone is thrown into you. You both cough and look at each other. "Kid?"

"___.... You gotta get out of here!" He pushes you back glaring at the demon that approached him.

"Lucci.." You growl.

"You can see that thing too!?" Kid huffs as more show up around you both.

"Yep, if you can grab it go for the horns." You tell him, moving back to back with him.

"Thanks for the tip." He rumbles as the demons lunge. Some are slashed up before you can move and you smile at Zoro who held what appeared to be blades of light.

"Oh, so we can use that here too?" You ask him. He nods smiling excited.

"The hell is that?" Kid questions looking at the swords as he breaks of demon horns one by one.

"We don't know." You admit as your arms start to glow. The demons hesitate becoming uneasy especially when Law joins you saying prayers loudly. The demons snarl starting to retreat. "Come on! They'll lead us to the ring leader!" You tell them running after the demons. Zoro and Law nod following suit. Kid hesitates and shakes his head.

"I better get some damn answers after this." He growls following them.

You stop when the red light comes into view, the man standing in front of it laughs. "Fufufu! Finally ___, I've been waiting for you my dear niece!" He chimes darkly. You pale shifting uneasily as even more demons come out of the red light behind him.

"It was... It was you both times?" You question voice soft as you tremble.

"Yes. I knew you could see ever since the night I killed your father." He rumbles.

"What.... What do you mean?" You ask warily.

"Did you know that some times when someone dies and comes back they are highly likely to be able to see the dead?" He grins. "It's a very useful gift that can give you all kinds of power of the living... Isn't that right Law?"

"Just say what you're getting at already." Law snarls through grit teeth.

"Fufufu. You were always rebellious, and that's why I was forced to kill my adorable niece too." He sighs. You and Law both pale at that. And the memory of that night hits you.

You giggle pushing Law's bear against his cheek. "Bepo loves you so much Lala! Grr Grr!" You giggle. Law chuckles kissing Bepo's cheek and hugging the teddy bear.

"I love you too Bepo! And I love my future wife!" He chimes kissing your cheek as well. You giggle hugging him happily.

"Heh you two are so sweet to each other." Your father gushes grinning. You giggle sheepishly as Law grins hugging you happily.

"Of course! I love ___ so much!" He cuddles you happily.

"I love you more La-la!" You cheer.

"Alright you two cuddle bugs, time to go to--" headlights dance through the windows and your father breaks off seeming confused. He goes to the window and tenses. Law hugs your closer, becoming serious. You blink at Law becoming worried.

"Law! ___! Go hide quickly! And don't come out no matter what you hear!" Your father orders suddenly. You blink becoming scared.

"B-but daddy!"

"Go. Now!" He snaps making you jump. Law swiftly pulls you to your feet and runs with you, hiding with you in his closet. He holds you close and tight, shaking heavily. You feel something wet hit your shoulder and pull back, blindly cupping his face and wiping his tears away.

"Don't cry Law. It'll be okay." You whisper trembling.

"I'm sorry ___... You're in danger because of me..." He sniffles. You frown and kiss him.

"Don't be sorry, I love you Law. It'll be okay because we'll always be together." You smile softly hugging him. He hugs you back tightly and you both jump as the front door is broken down.

"Hello little brother!" Your uncles voice makes a chill pass through you and you hug Law tighter.

"I won't let you have him!" Your father snaps.

"D-Daddy..." You whisper quietly shaking more.

"Alright then." Your uncle hums.

BANG! BANG!

You jump, tearing up when you hear something drop to the floor. You were terrified. Law shakes more as well as three different foot steps search the rooms. One enters Law's room, slowly approaching the closet. Law freezes, absolutely horrified.

The door opens and you look up at your uncle as he smiles down at you and Law. You grit your teeth standing up and shielding Law. "I-If you... Want to kill Law... You have to go through me!" You declare trembling. You wanted this all to be a nightmare. You thought when he pulled the trigger again you'd wake up and go get Law then crawl into bed with dad.

But that was wrong.

"Alright." Doflamingo murmurs pointing his pistol at you.

"NO!! ___!!" Law screams out reaching out for you.
