Heavenly Problems

"He's staying?" Your dad asks unhappily. You shift and nod.

"Yeah... Dad despite what he is... He's a good guy," You tell him with a soft smile, "I feel better when he's around..." Your dad shifts and sighs.

"___... Do you... Do you love him?" He murmurs quietly. Your eyes widen and you blush heavily.

"D-Dad!" You gasp. He watches your reaction and chuckles.

"You do... How is that going to work out ___?" He asks. You shift and sigh.

"Its not... But... I really do care about him... I don't know what I'm gonna do..." You sigh looking down with a slight blush. Rocinante reaches over and puts a hand on your head.

"I just don't want to see you get hurt," He murmurs. You chuckle and stand up getting a big bowl of ice cream.

"I'll be fine daddy," You assure getting two spoons. You head out to where Law was watching a movie. His silver orbs trail over to you and he tilts his head.

"This is a comedy? This isn't funny at all," He grumbles as you sit beside him.

"Really? I thought your sense of humor was intact," You tease as he takes the spoon you offer and starts to eat the ice cream.

"You are much funnier though," He rumbles thoughtfully. You give him a pout at that. He smirks and puts ice cream on your nose.

"Law!" You grumble, making him laugh.

"Your eyes are all cross-eyed now," He chuckles licking up the ice cream. You blush heavily at that and rub your nose.

"Bully..." You grumble. He scoots closer to you, touching his forehead to yours you glance at his eyes to find them closed. You smile a bit, letting out a breath.

"Alright, that's enough," A voice says making you both look over to see a blond guy, glowing brightly, a scar over his left eye. Glowing sapphire orbs glaring at Law. "Be gone." He rumbles. Suddenly Law is gone. You sit up, blinking in awe at the blond. White wings folded behind him. His eyes locked on you.

"An.... Angel?" You murmur he smiles a bit.

"Do you know why I'm here ___?" He asks, folding his arms. You shift.

"Uh... Not really.... Am I dying?" You answer, he chuckles and tilts his head.

"Not for a while... I'm here about the demon... If you go down that path, I can only guarantee you pain," He tells you. You stand up rubbing your cheek as you set the bowl down.

"Look Mr. Angel, thanks for caring but I'll deal with it," You tell him. He frowns a bit.

"Even if it means going to hell?" He asks quietly. You pause as he sighs and comes closer. He puts a hand on your forehead. "I'll do this one time, but only because I don't sense any threat from your puppy love," He rumbles, moving his hand and kissing your forehead. Everything brightens and you feel yourself become lighter. He pulls back and pats your head. "Alright, try to think things through ___, I hope we meet again," He says before disappearing.

"The angels are getting involved now ___," Your dad says, poking his head through the wall. You frown at where the angel had been.

"I... I don't care..." You sigh, "Even with that in mind, I want Law around," You tell him. He blinks and chuckles.

"You're as stubborn as me ___, I know there's no point in trying to talk you out of it," He rumbles, floating over and hugging you. "I'll back you up, but if he hurts you.." He growls. You smile and hug him back.

"I know..." You breathe. There's a knock on the door and you break away to go answer it. Zoro gives you a smile.

"Hey, I've come to hang out with you," He rumbles, hugging you.

"Alright then," You muse.

"Why can't you just go for a human instead? Zoro is a good guy," Your dad points out. You and Zoro blush at that.

"So you know," Zoro asks Rocinante.

"Of course I do ___ tells me--- did he just respond to me? And he's looking at me?? Oh my god! He can see me!?" Your dad gasps, flapping his arms excitedly and somehow falling over. You and Zoro chuckle at his reaction as you close the door.

"Glad you don't mind," You chuckle.

"Are you kidding? That's amazing! Now you're not the only one! I'm so happy my princess and her knight are on the same boat!" He gushes. You blush and look to the side when Zoro raises a questioning eyebrow at you.

"Anyway, where is the demon? I brought him chocolate," Zoro says looking around. You give him a surprised look and he frowns. "What? I only did it because I brought you some more icecream," He scoffs. You grin and hug him.

"He kinda got repelled by an angel, I'm not really sure when he'll be back," You admit, taking the icecream and starting for the freezer.

"An angel, I thought you said those don't exist," Zoro huffs.

"Apparently I was wrong because I was sitting on the couch with Law and he showed up and.... He looked so freaking..." You trail off, making a weird gesture because you think of a word to describe the angel as you put up the ice cream.

"Bright?" Zoro asks.

"Rude?" Law huffs

"Cool?" Your dad asks.

"Radiant and handsome?" You wonder, making them frown. Then you freeze and look at Law. "Law? When did you get back?" You gasp. The demon frowns.

"A moment ago, but if you prefer the company of angels--" You pull his cheeks, silencing him.

"Hush Law, just hush. If that was the case I would've had you exorcised a long time ago," You grumble to him. He blinks in surprise then smiles a bit.

"Alright," He rumbles.

"Also, Zoro got you chocolate," You add. Law looks at Zoro warily.

"There's not holy water in there is it?" He asks. Zoro blinks at him.

"How exactly would that work?" Zoro questions with a straight face. Law stays silent and reaches for the bag Zoro was offering. He tries a chocolate and lets out a hum of approval. He looks at Zoro and awkwardly hugs him before leaving the kitchen, leaving the three of you surprised.

"I guess that means you're moving up in the ranks," You muse with a shrug. Zoro just stood there awkwardly.

"As long as I don't end up on the same rank as you," He grunts.

"You won't," Law says bluntly.

"I'm special," You boast.
