Not Just a Rebound

Ace kicked me and Ry out to go buy snacks while he set up his little game. We went to the snack aisle and threw a mix of snacks into the basket.  We then went to the beverage aisle and grabbed 3 bottles of soda. After we got everything we paid, Courtesy of daddy of course. Ace must of told him the plan because he took Micah out, gave us $100 and told us not to break anything. Must be something violent which I hope I'm wrong.

We went around and picked up Tini and G as asked. They were both dressed in all black as planned and we headed back to mine.

"I bet 5 dollars we're gonna do something illegal"

"Trust me it's not illegal"

Ry turned around in the passenger seat to look back at Tini. "So you know?"

I glanced back at Tini through the mirror.

"I may have used my forms of persuading on the kid"

"Sounds dirty" G says.

"Well-"

Ry held a hand up. "Keep that to yourself just say what it is"

"Can't. I promised but it's gonna be fun so relax guys"

Ry slowly turned around. "I'm trusting you kid. I better not get arrested.

Both G and Tini laughed.

I made it back to the house and all the lights were off. There was a glowing sign on the gate to the backyard. We walked over and I pulled out the key to the lock. I unlocked it and we walked down the path. There were two long tables a few feet from the end of the path. We placed the bags on the one with the plates and cups. Then on the second one there were nerf guns with glow sticks attached. We each picked one up.

"Oh hell yes" Ry pretended like she was shooting someone.

The door from the house slid open and Ace walked out with a ski mask on but it only covered half his face. He made his way over to us with someone following behind.

"Since there is an uneven amount of us I invited Keshaun"

He rolled his ski mask up to his forehead. "Hey stranger" he hugged me.

"Hey" I hugged him back.

"Let me guess. Girls versus boys?"

"Yup. It's easier to divide that way"

"Do we get ski masks too?" Ry squealed.

Ace rolled his eyes and handed her a bag.

"Pink? Really?"

"Or you can not wear it"

It was Ry's turn to roll her eyes. "Fine fine"

"Question" I pulled my hood off. " How am I supposed to fit this over my curls?"

He shrugged. "Sacrifices kiddo"

I pouted as I ran my fingers through my hair then down into a low ponytail. I pulled the ski mask over my face.

Once we were all masked and armed we laid out the rules. "We have the whole house but we can't turn on any lights"

"But how will we see?"

"I've already moved any valuables to the garage so that's off limits but we have the whole backyard"

"And my room? Open field or no?"

"Do you want it to be?"

I shrugged. "Sure"

"Fine but my room is not. I have my trophies"
