I pulled on my knee high socks then my under the knee combat boots.

"Well don't you look cute" mom complimented before sitting on the edge of my bed.

I stood in front of the mirror looking over my outfit. "Thanks"

I pulled my dress down. "I'm gonna be cold"

"Beauty means risks"

T walked out the bathroom. "Hoes don't get cold. You'll be alright" she started laughing.

I picked a shirt off the couch and threw it at her.

Mom just shook her head while laughing silently.

I think my coat is long enough to cover the millimeter of exposed skin so I should be fine. I started taking the Bantu knots out my hair while T was straightening hers.

"Every time I have my hair curly yours is always straight" I noticed.

She shrugged. "Opposites attract plus my hair is almost always straight"

"That's true" I unraveled the last knot. "I'm ready"

She shook her hair and unplugged the flat iron. "Done"

By the time we got to the party people were already dancing and drinking. I looked around the hotel suite ,which was pretty spacious, and decided I needed a drink. We all gave our coats to the person checking them.

I left T, Ace and Greg by the door and started looking for the alcohol. As soon as I found it I grabbed the unopened bottle of Svedka. I swirled it and watched to see if it fizzed before I opened it. Just a precaution.

"Hey"

I continued pouring the vodka in my cup not turning around. "Hi" I closed the bottle again and grabbed the orange juice.

"What's wrong?"

I shrugged. "Just waiting till 12"

"What's the rush? Enjoy the party" I could hear the smirk in his voice.

I poured the orange juice in my cup then held it up. "I'm about to enjoy it" I closed the orange juice and turned around to face him.

He held his cup out and motioned for me to bump mine with his. I did and he smiled. "Cheers?"

"Cheers" we chugged down our drinks and I slammed my cup on the counter.

He put his cup down next to him on the other counter. "Alright we have an iron liver over here"

I laughed. "My cup was only seventy-five percent full"

"Mine was halfway ish"

I shrugged. "I'm just ready to get this party started"

He put a hand over his heart. "I could've sworn I started this party at 10"

I looked at my watch which said its almost 11. "Well then it's doing pretty well"

He jumped on the counter. "Thank you"

I felt my phone vibrate in my bra and I pulled it out. It was Tini. I put it on speaker while I made another cup.
