After, they lay in bed together, Madolyn's head rested on Billy's chest, his right arm around the small of her back, holding her close to him, his left pushing pieces of hair out of her face.

When he pushed a piece away that kept falling over eye, she buried her head in his chest, savoring his warmth and comfort. She shivered at the chill of the heat being knocked out, and he rubbed her back in an attempt to warm her up.

He put his head in the crook of her neck, kissing and licking the skin above her collarbone. She breathed deeply and heavily when his kisses became hard sucks. She felt a sensation of what felt like drops of warm water hitting her skin. She pulled away to see Billy's eyes spilling over with tears.

She had seen enough of this in her office to know talking may make it worse, so instead of prying him open she just held him in her arms and let his silent cries turn to sobs. When she tried to readjust herself, he buried his head in her chest and wrapped his arms around her middle and pulled her close.

His cries were soaking her skin and the bedding beneath them, and soon she felt her own eyes start to water. Did she love this man? She knew she felt more attraction to him than she did Colin. It's not that she disliked Colin, because she did like him, she just felt that her and Billy were growing a bond, a deep bond, one that would surpass the one her and Colin had.

He made her body and mind ache. She tried to analyze him, which was hard, because he seemed so introverted. He was smart, of course. He was actually one of the most intelligent people she knew. Aside from her mind, he made her body sore. The way he moved inside her made her body ignite a fire that would never be extinguished, no matter how close he was to her. He struck her like a match on the side of a box, but unlike the match, she would never, ever go out.

She tried to sit up, and winced at the pain of her lower region. Billy saw her and pulled her into his lap, hoping he could ease the pain. He pressed his forehead to hers and kissed her gently, sucking on her bottom lip. She was the first to speak since he kissed her the first time.

"Please, Billy, my body can't take another round." She said, almost whimpering.

He began to smile through his tear strained face. "Okay, Hotshot," he said, smirking, and then he dove for her neck, maneuvering his soft lips against the flesh. "Can I still kiss you?"

She smiled. "I have no objection to that."

Her eyes still leaked tears, even though she was smiling. He held her cheek in his palm, wiped away her tears with his thumb and kissed her cheek, comfort lingering around on her skin.

"You know for such a tough guy, you're really affectionate." She said.

He bit his lip. "Well, it's just..." he trailed off.

"It's what?" She asked.

"I just like showing you what I think of you." He cleared his throat. "With my affectionate gestures."

"Is what we just did considered one of your affectionate gestures?" She asked, smiling.

"You mean when I..." he paused, nervous, "made love to you?"

She nodded.

"It was maybe a bit more." He said, laying back.

"Are you always that..." She stopped mid-sentence.

"That what?" He laughed and raised his eyebrows. "Hot?"

"Gentle." She said, laying on her side, admiring him.

"I try to be." He started tracing circles on her hip. "I don't want to be one of those guys who just ravage you for their own good."

"I understand." Madolyn said.

"Are you cold?" He asked.

"A little bit, why?" She asked.

"You seem like you are." He said, smiling, referring to her chest.

She sighed when he put a hand over her body, resting her head on his shoulder.

"More affection?" She asked.

"Mhm." He said before he started squeezing gently.

"It's raining really hard out, do you want to stay the night?" She asked him sleepily.

"Is that appropriate? Considering you have a boyfriend and all?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Considering we just had sex I think it'd be the least of my worries if you spent the night." She kissed his lips lightly.

The thunder roared loudly as she laid her head on his chest. He curled his body to hers and they slept.

Neither one would ever bring themselves to admit it, but that night they slept better than they had in a long time.
