Katniss
I can barely look at the screen, it's becoming difficult.

"How could I let this happen!" Kolton yanks at his hair.

"Hey," Talisa says in a hushed tone. "This is not your fault."

"Not my fault? I was the one who let her go up there by herself! That should have been me. I insisted that she went up there all because I said it would be easier for me to lift her. She could have picked me up just fine. I don't even know what the hell happened. Was she attacked by one tribute? Or the career pack?" Kolton mumbles as he examines Raina's back wounds.

She remains unconscious. Maybe that's best for her.

I remember Gale being in a similar situation. The whipping. Laying lifeless on his stomach in my kitchen while Prim pours alcohol over his gashed body. Looking at him with teary eyes. Peeta comforting me.

"Why don't you ask her when she wakes up? What did you hear from up there?" asks Roman.

Kolton carefully pours drops of water onto each open wound on her body and doesn't answer the question.

"These must be from the thorns that surround the maze wall." Talisa concludes.

"Looks more like barbed wire did this." Roman adds.

The wounds on her back are morbid. They start off looking like chickenpox, but instead of circles, they look like little "v" shapes all over her. You can tell that something has pierced her due to the flabs of skin that stick out underneath.

No one knows what happened, but Peeta, Finnick and I do.

"I'll be back." Finnick states angrily, as he rises from the sofa.

"Where are you going?" I ask him.

"That girl needs medicine as fast as possible. We will send it as soon as they open the communication device. Sponsors are lined up out the door."

I put my attention back to the games.

Talisa hands our sponsor gift over to Kolton.

"Such a determined girl. After all she endured, she still got it." Talisa smiles.

Kolton takes a look at the metal box, which is covered in smeared blood.

"I want to wait until Raina wakes up. She should be the one to open it." Kolton smiles down at the parachute in his hands.

"What if it's something we need? Food? Medicine? Something we could use now?" Roman protests.

"Well, then I guess we will just have to wait it out. Don't touch the gift until Raina opens it."
