Behold Alex and Charlotte
The memories of Luke's and Ashton's conversation stuck in the blondes head all the way to lunch. Luke just couldn't stop thinking about him. It wasn't a crush, he had only known the guy for like a day, but he was just curious.
Luke tended to form bonds with people very quickly, he could know some one for a few hours, and still call them his friend. He was just a friendly person.
He hitched up his bag and continued walking to the cafeteria, his head looking around for people he recognized. Some stares went his way, but he was the new kid, it was expected, Luke couldn't just go by unnoticed, but he didn't mind, he didn't adore the attention, but he wouldn't shy away from it.
He spotted a familiar pink head, talking with Calum and Charlotte, Luke beamed and walked over, long legs taking long strides. So far he had loved most if not all the people he had met, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, almost like Luke had gone to this school his entire life. He didn't want to admit it, but he was nervous, that nobody would not want to talk to him, or that the place would be full of assholes. Luckily, from what he saw anyway, that was not at all the case.
It was weird though. His old school was so small. It was like this one had been supersized. There were so many types of people who he hadn't experienced. Obviously there were some preppy jocks and stuff back at his old school, but they would still mingle and talk to people of varying popularity.
He let out a small internal laugh, it all reminded him of mean girls. Especially because now he knew how Cadie was feeling. It was like the part where she was imagining the students as wild animals, defending their turf.
The blonde sat down next to Charlotte, smiling at her Calum and Michael in turn, which they returned happily.
"Hello brethren." He smiled again
"Hey," Michael replied happily,"How was maths?"
Luke groaned "It sucked so bad. The only good part was I got to sit cross from Alex."
Charlotte raised her eyebrow "Wait which teacher did you have?"
Calum's face darkened, "Was it Mrs Gomez?"
"Yeah! It was!" Luke exclaimed "Wait how did you know?"
Calum scoffed, leaning back on his chair and rolling his eyes, before taking Michael's hand in his own, affectionately, "Michael and I had her a year or two ago she was was horrible."
Michael frowned, playing with Calum's fingers, causing the dark haired boy to smile "Yeah, I don't hate many people, but if there was a list she would be on it somewhere."
Luke furrowed his eyebrows "What did she do that was so bad?"
"Well she couldn't teach, I failed my midterms because of her, so did others, I had to get a maths tutor, just so I wouldn't fail." Calum huffed "But she also told Michael he needed to see a psychiatrist just because he disagreed with her. I just don't like her."
"Yeah she was also really mean, this guy called Connor left his book once and she hated him for the rest of the year. I liked before I had her, but when I had her it was hell." Michael seconded
"Oh crap." Luke moaned,
"What?" Charlotte asked in response
"I have her for the rest of the year, I'm already useless at maths, but I will be even fucking worse!"
Charlotte laughed a little and rubbed his back supportively "It's okay Luke, just get into her good books, then she won't pick on you."
Luke nodded "If she's mean I'll just give her the silent treatment. It's weird though, you have three lessons before lunch, why do you have lunch at the end of the day?"
