"What the hell does that mean?" Steal a team mascot?!
"Yeah the game's at Farrington, and we're gonna sneak in and steal the mascot," Niall swerved the car to the right, "I'm sorry I know this must be really crazy for you. But hey it could be fun."
"Wait so we're stealing a person?"
"No, Farrington's mascot is a goat," he glanced over at me, "A real goat." I burst out laughing.
"What?" he asked confused.
"A goat?" I tried to stop the undeniable laughter, "We're going all the way there just to steal a goat." Niall shrugged.
"Harry's plan, not mine." Just then Niall pulled into a giant parking lot surrounding a stadium. The stadium was illuminated with bright lights, and the sound of pre-game cheering filled the air.
"Let's go. You won't have to do anything. Just follow me," we got out of the car nearly sprinting to meet the other boys. Harry was already standing outside the big stadium door. There were people streaming from every direction. Everyone was trying to get in the front door, but there was way too many people to fit.
"Okay good. It's crowded so no one will notice-" Harry stopped, making eye contact with me, "-what's she doing here?" I rolled my eyes.
"Get over yourself Harry-" before I could really tell him off Niall interuppted.
"I brought her. Sorry."
"Okay i think we'll use her," the words were enough to make me look up at Harry's gleaming eyes.
"What? No!"
"C'mon. Live a little Chelsea, don't you wanna-" his voice changed to a whisper as he stepped closer to me, "-steal a mascot with us?" No. No I actually didn't. This sounded like some dumb college prank, that I wanted nothing to do with it.
But I guess I was used to it. My younger brother and his friends were always stealing things, pulling pranks in my old town. I never really had to help them, more like had to help them get out of trouble once they got caught.
"And what if we get caught?" I snapped out the words.
"We won't-" Niall began before Harry brought us all close in a whisper.
"It's time." Harry proceeded to spit out instructions. Some of the boys would stay outside and make sure no one thought anything was suspicious. And the rest would be waiting out back with the big pick-up truck to get the mascot. Niall was assigned to wait outside, obviously the worst job.
"And Chelsea you're coming with me."
"But-"
"C'mon we don't have much time let's go," his hand seemed to tingle my own as he grabbed it briskly. My breathing came to a halt, his own hand dragging me towards the front door. He brought his lips to the back of my ear, causing me to shiver. I hate his every touch, the way he made everything seem so-so irresistable. I groaned trying to get myself out of this state.
"We have to pretend we're a couple. Okay? Just go with it..." I didn't have time to refuse or argue before my body was pulled up against his. He snaked his arm protectively around my waist. We walked up to the big guard who was waiting at one of the side doors. He literally looked 7 feet and that was coming from me, who's already pretty tall. He even towered over Harry's muscular build. He had a bald head that was accompanied by a thick, black mustache.
Harry's fingers etched into the side of my jeans. I could tell he was nervous. It was the weirdest feeling to have him acting like he liked me. When I knew he didn't. It was like a dream, an all too odd dream. I looked over to Harry and he shot me a smile. Part of the act, he knew the bodyguard was watching so he inched even closer to my body. I inhaled sharply.
