7. Affection

After hearing the howl behind me, I heard another one in front of me. Is it possible that it's Jaxon? Or is it someone else, maybe a rogue? I decided that whoever it is, is probably better than that psycho whom I just electrified somehow. I still can't believe that happened.

I picked up my speed but I wasn't fast enough. Someone attacked me from behind and I landed on the ground with someone on top of me, growling viciously.

I heard another loud and powerful growl before the wolf on top of me got attacked and thrown on the ground away from me. It happened so fast that I couldn't see who had saved me. When I stood up, I saw a black wolf fighting a dark brown one and I sighed in relief. Jaxon.

Another brown wolf that I was familiar with, Colton, walked up to me as Jaxon bit the other wolfs neck until it whimpered and stopped moving.

Jaxon moved away from the dead wolf and looked at me. I felt so relieved when I looked into his beautiful green eyes. I ran towards him and we nuzzled our heads against each other's. Another howl came from behind us and I noticed that Jaxon looked angry. He was going to go towards the howling sound but I stopped him and shook my head then motion with my head that we should leave which he reluctantly did. Then we ran, with Jaxon on one side of me and Colton on the other.

When we got home, Avalon was waiting for us at the edge of the forest with clothes. I took one of Jaxon's t-shirt in my big wolf mouth then walked behind a bush and shifted then changed and walked back wearing his t-shirt.

Jaxon embraced me with a tight hug. "What the hell happened?!" He asked angrily as he pulled away, his hands resting on my hips.

"Do you really need to shout?" I asked slightly annoyed. Sure, I know that it's because he was worried but it's still annoying.

"Luna!" He said sternly and I sighed.

"A car hit us so we crashed into a tree. The next thing I knew I was in a dungeon, locked in a cell." I stated to explain calmly. "Did Avalon tell you about that dream I had? Is that how you found me?"

"Yes" He answered simply.

"Well that's practically what happened... It was a guy with red hair, around my age and I think he's somehow related to the man who killed my parents." I continued.

"How did you escape?" Colton asked confused.

"Well... You see..." I started as I scratched the back of my neck slightly nervous. What will they think when I explain and how do I even explain what happened?

"Luna..." Jaxon sighed annoyed, waiting for me to continue.

"He was going to mark me but-..." I started to say but Jaxon interrupted me by quickly putting his hand against my nape to look for a mark. "He didn't Jaxon" I said smiling and Jaxon sighed in relief. "He didn't because somehow... well my whole body started to feel electric and all I could think about was that I wanted him to stop. Then suddenly electric came from my body and he flew away from me and down on the ground." I explained in shock that it actually happened.

"An electric shockwave?" Jaxon asked in disbelief, knowing how surreal it sounds.

"I'm serious Jaxon!" I said firmly. "It actually happened and then I put my hands in front of me... Like this" I said showing him my protecting stand and hands in front of my body. "And then electric came through my hands and towards him, electrifying him."

"Luna, did you hit your head?" Avalon asked worried.

"I'm serious!" I said stomping my foot like a child. "It happened!" I said annoyed that they don't believe me. But hey, not even I believe it entirely and I saw it with my own eyes.
