When I woke up I sighed as I realized that Jaxon wasn't next to me. No surprise really thought because during the past four weeks since the ceremony when we became Alpha and Luna of the Red Warriors, he's been really busy with paperwork and catching up on the things that his father used to take care of.

But I've been quite busy too, I've been getting to know all the pack members slowly, one by one. I've met a few people from my parent's old pack, and they've been so happy when they find out that I was their daughter but I haven't found anyone who knew anything about that red-haired man that killed them. The only thing they knew was that a group of rouges started to terrorize them.

I walked towards the closet and changed out of Jaxon's t-shirt to a pair of black skinny jeans, white sleeveless peplum top with yellow and pink flowers and a black cardigan then into the bathroom and did my makeup, foundation, mascara, tinted pink lip balm and eyeliner on my upper lashes.

When I was done, I walked down towards the kitchen and found both Nate and an eight week pregnant Avalon. Her bump has grown, it's amazing that the whole pregnancy is half the length than for humans, she's practically four months pregnant instead of two. "Morning" They said in unison.

"Morning Nate, Morning soon-to-be-mom" I replied and took a bowl and mixed cereal and milk then sat down on the kitchen island with them. "I guess that Jaxon, Colton and Zane is taking care of what happened last night?" I asked sadly.

During these past four weeks, no one else had been attacked by rouges, if you asked me it had been too quiet or at least that was what my senses had told me. I felt like it was the calm before the storm. I had told Jaxon about my worries and he had taken further measures considering the warriors that patrol the borders, however it didn't prevent another pack member to run out of our borders and got killed, which happened last night. She had argued with her mother and ran away while upset, out of our borders only to get killed by a group of rouges, like they were waiting for someone to step out of our territory and away from the warriors.

"Yeah, Colton left early this morning, said that he'll come home late tonight." She said sadly.

"Did you... know her?" I asked hesitantly knowing it could be a touchy subject.

"I knew who she was but she was younger so I didn't personally know her." Avalon answered.

"She went to school with my cousin, she was a nice girl and she didn't deserve this. Hell no one would deserve that!" He said angrily and he was right, no one deserves what happened. She was practically ripped apart with tons of claw marks. I don't want to be specific but it was true horror and if it wasn't for her hair color, eye color and her neckless that she never takes off, she hardly would have been recognized. That's how disturbing the sight was.

"Monsters" I mumbled just thinking about it as I stared at my bowl of cereal while twirling my spoon around in thoughts.

"Are you working today?" Avalon wondered referring to me working at the different companies that the pack own. I've been working at every company just to get familiar with the businesses and the people who runs it, let them know that I'm there for them if they need me.

"I'm working at the café today" I answered as I finished the last of my breakfast and Nate stated to chuckle. "What?" I asked confused with a questioning look.

"Nothing just... have fun." He said as he stood up and put his empty bowl in the dish washer. "Oh, and say hello to Zane's mother from me and remember to take deep breath before she hugs you." He said before he walked out of the kitchen leaving me and Avalon there alone.
