(Galene's POV)
I walk through the desert. Haven't slept for days. No wapens except my knives, which I'm not very good with. I'm not sure if I'll make it there in time, but I keep on walking. I lost my horse during a fight, he ran away.
I'm doing alright though. I've been through worse. I guess it's at 3pm when I hear horses behind me. Hearing how loud the sound is, I know they're pretty close. I still try to run away, but since I'm in the desert there aren't many things or tree's to hide behind.
Before I know it, there are four people on horses around me. I only recognise Gandalf the gray out of them. The other ones include one elf, who's pointing his arrow to me. A dwarf with an axe and one other guy. I don't know any of them but I do know I should try to escape.
I make a movement as if I'm going to the left, which makes the elf shoot an arrow there, but I quickly run to the right. The dwarf tries to hit me with his axe, but misses. I run away, but the guy follows me and tries to catch me, he's way faster on his horse.
I walk a little lower and grab his arm, pushing him off his horse. I see the dwarf coming to me, so I throw one of my knives, which pinches his shirt on the tree behind him, making him unable to get away soon.
I thought I'd had enough time to run away now, so I turn around but quickly stop when I see an arrow, less then one feet away from my head. I look up and see the elf on his horse. Dammit. The others also quickly stand around me and I lift my hands in defeat.
''Show yourself'' The guy says. I slowly put my hood off. I can see the surprises on their faces. ''A girl?'' The dwarf says. I take my black hair out my ponytail and let it fall around my shoulders. My green eyes connect with Gandalf's. I know he doesn't know who I am, but where I come from they talk about him a lot. This is the second time I've ever seen him.
''I've been defeated by a girl?'' The dwarf says, as if he can't believe it. The elf smiles slightly. ''I've been defeated by not many things, but never by a girl!'' He continues, mumbling.
''Tie her hands'' The guy commands. The elf jumps off his horse and gets rope out his bag. I don't even bother to struggle against him as he ties my hands. I look at him, taking his face in. Blue eyes, blond or more like white long hair over his shoulders. He looks back at me, doesn't say anything. He stares at me with a expression on his face I can't place.
''What are you doing here?'' The guys speaks again. I just look at him, not wanting to tell him. ''Speak'' I smirk slightly. I know they won't kill me. I won't tell them why I'm here, It's none of their business and they will probably only make it more difficult for me to accomplish my mission.
''She could be a spy of Sauron and Saruman'' The dwarf says. The guy seems to realize I will not tell them where I am going or why I am here, but I know he won't just let me go. After a while he speaks again. ''You'll travel with us, we can't risk letting you go. We'll keep you with us, till you decide to tell us why you're here.'' He decides.
I say nothing. I know they're going the same way I was heading. I do have to get free from they before we arrive though. ''Legolas, she'll sit with you on the horse, then I'll take Gimli. Keep an eye on her. She seems to be a good fighter'' He says the last part almost like a whisper, as if I may not hear it.
The elf, Legolas apparently, nods his head. He helps me on his horse, with less force than I expected, which I'm glad with because my hands are tied pretty tight. When the dwarf also is on the other horse, we leave with fast speed.
During the rest of the day, they don't say many things. I haven't spoken at all. When its almost midnight we've reached a forest. They decide to make camp, to sleep overnight. They have a no food except Lembas bread. They all eat a small piece, and Gandalf offers it also to me. But I don't take it. I don't want them to think I owe them something, or that I agree with this.
When we're going to sleep, they decide to tie me to a tree too. Which I think is very unnecessary, I won't try to escape this night anyway. When they all seem asleep, I'm still awake. The guy tied me incredibly uncomfortable, and I guess this will be another night spending sleepless. After a while my wrists also start to burn and I groan. I close my eyes.
A few seconds later I notice Legolas woke up. I hear his footsteps walking towards me. I open my eyes, and he doesn't seem surprised I'm still awake. As if he knew. He walks to me and sees how red my wrists are, bleeding a little bit. He silently makes the rope around the tree loose. Relieve rushes trough me, it feels way better. He also loosens the rope around my wrists, but keeps them tied.
''Don't try to run away'' He almost whispers, looking in my eyes, as if he's warning me. If I try to run away, he knows he'll catch me. And I know that too. I mouth a 'thank you' to him. The first thing I've said to any of them so far, even though I didn't speak the words.
He doesn't say anything. He just lays back on his 'bed' and falls asleep again. I make myself comfortable, which is much easier now, and in 5 minutes I fall asleep. Realizing how tired I actually have been.
