The sniper case was close enough that the team didn't have to fly but they did have to get hotel rooms. Hotch decided that Spencer should stay home and rest because of the whole kidnapping thing and of course because he had not slept in three days. He didn't mind though, he wanted to stay home, with Winnie. Winnie had no clue what she was even doing there. She should just go back home to California.

What home? She thought. And she was right. There was nothing for her to go back to. She hadn't paid her rent in over two years. Her apartment and everything in it where long gone. She could always go back to her dads house, her childhood home. But that just was a constant reminder of her deceased father. She probably would go back but she just wasn't ready to. It had been nine years since her father died and she still wasn't ready to go to his house. It was probably a mess.

So instead Winnie just hung out with Spencer. He didn't seem to mind. He actually was having a good time. It had only been a few days but they talked and had gotten to know each other really well. They clicked.

Winnie was sitting in the living room reading the same blurry words of her favorite book when the telephone rang. Spencer wasn't home to answer it. He told Winnie he was going to do some errands, so Winnie answered.

"Hello, you've reached the office of Dr. Spencer Reid. How may i help you?"

"Winnie?" It was Morgan.

"Yeah." She felt awkward.

"Where's Reid? I need his brain."

"He's out right now. Maybe i can help?" She asked.

"I don't think so..." Morgan trailed off

"Come on! I can help! I have a brain too!" Winnie was practically begging.

"Okay I'll let you in on this but don't tell Hotch. And when Reid gets back let him know everything."

"Okay i promise. Now how may i be of assistance?" Winnie asked.

"We've been after this UnSub-"

"The serial sniper?" Winnie interjected.

"Yeah, he's been killing randomly around the city and the killings are becoming more frequent. None of his victims have anything in common and we can't seem to pinpoint a geographical safe zone or hot zone."

"Okay i need all the geo points of the killings and where he was positioned. i also need his weapon details and anything and everything you have on each of the victims, time of death, location, family, everything." Winnie said.

"Oh okay! That's easy!" Morgan said sarcastically.

"Just send it to Reid's laptop i have it here." Winnie opened the laptop and guessed the password. Reid was an open book so it wasn't hard to guess. Zugzwang, a chess term Spencer had recently taught her. "I have a feeling about something. I'll call you if i'm right." Then Winnie hung up before Morgan could protest.

Winnie read everything Morgan sent her, which was basically everything but dead bodies. She printed out several maps of the area they were in and in the middle of mapping out the kill sights Spencer walked in the front door.

"Winnie I picked up the glasses I ordered for you and bought more milk." Spencer saw the map laying on the floor and Winnie hanging over it.

"Thank you!" Winnie jumped up and grabbed the bag that held her new glasses, "Oh and Morgan called." She added right before she put them on.

"I can see that." Reid said smiling at the map. He picked up some other papers Winnie had printed out and began to read them.

Winnie put on her new glasses.
