My first crush flourished into my first love,
When I was too innocent to know of
The destruction love could do to your heart.
Before I knew it, we sundered apart.
Several days, weeks, months, and years elapsed
Since the day my heart first collapsed.
Even though it slowly repaired itself,
I could never return to my true self.
Then last month, I found myself face to face
With the lover I never could replace.
I found that my home is still in your arms,
And the love for you in my heart still burns.
Now I find myself in pieces again,
Wondering how you could cause so much pain.
Darling, I wish I had known much better,
For you'll forever be a heart breaker.
