play me the piano
and maybe i'll show i care
because my face is always stiff,
always well-repairedsing a song for me
and maybe i'll sing along too
though i swore i'd never sing again,
not when i'm in viewask me why i cry
to the rhythm of your tune
and maybe i'll open up this time
forget that i'm immunetell me to believe you
because i'm sick of this mistrust
and maybe i'll even tell you
things never been discussedstick with me when i utter
a history of cuts
and maybe i'll show you
the places i've kept shutpull me into a hug
"it's going to be all right."
and maybe i'll trust you
even though it's just a liehaunt me with your music
leave me full and whole
and maybe for tomorrow
i won't be so aloneallow your song to echo
within this heart of mine
and maybe i might even learn
how exactly love's defined.A/N: Hey guys. I would just like to say that this piece was inspired when my brother, @KHResurreccion gave me the prompt of "piano" and "what love is", hence why this was born, haha. :)
Also, if you thought this was emotional, you should really take a look at @KHResurreccion's book titled "The Lament Of The Bard." It's a poetry book FILLED with feels, peeps. God knows how many times I cried reading it haha. :'D So, do take a look, okay haha? :D
