i see dandelion seeds
fly into hurricane.i see flitting butterflies
dropping dead in vain.i see naive, merry people
bellowing out in pain.i see tall, prancing trees
threatened off terrain.i see breathless chasing child
running from the raini see flustered expression
all the tears that he constrainsi see ravaged buildings
behind him is just insanei see battered umbrella
should i maybe be humane?i see a hope to barge outside
but my courage has been slaini see shaking wooden door
better keep in lock and chaini see my horrendous thoughts
purify it from my brain.i see a road to safety
pray my sanity still remains.because self-aware or even not
the body still remains a stain.A/N: This was created using the prompt of "umbrellas" and "self-awareness" given by the lovely and talented -RoseByAnotherName-. Hope that I've done your prompts some justice! :)
Also, anyone up for a good read? -RoseByAnotherName- has written herself a truly magnificent book of her poetry entitled "In My Mind's Eye" and it is so good that I've had goosebumps. No joke.
Also, if you need a recommendation of which pieces to check out first, I'd suggest "May I?", "My Broken Fairytale" and "Love Letter To An Insomniac". :)
