brother, tell me why you're never frightened
when the handkerchief around your eyes are tightened?why do you not just simply scream
and think of it as a horrible dream?why simply laugh and count to three
assuming that you shall go free?why never kick or bite or cry?
why have you never questioned "why?"why be so sure that you're safe and well?
who knows truly what the future can tell?though of course it's usually plain old me,
but brother, please, can you even see?picture handkerchief untied with grace
and imagine if, this time, it's not my face.A/N: Nice and sleepy right now but I decided I would not sleep until I finished this piece haha.
I was given the prompt of "handkerchiefs and indecisiveness" by KHResurreccion who by the way writes stunning poetry and a particularly romance book that I am massively in love in ("The Lament of The Bard" and "There" respectively").
He's also starting up a new fantasy book entitled "Oath Taker", so it would be really cool if you could check that out too, peeps. :) Thank you for reading!
