The wind was searing cold out of the northern mountain range where we were heading. I closed all the windows of the Veyron and put on the heater so as to avoid catching a cold. The clouds were tumbling over each other, heavy and blue and grey,so close to earth that they brushed the crests of the mountains at the far end of the raspberry fields. It made me wonder how the weather can drastically change. An hour or so ago, the sun was oozing out of the eastern horizon, undisturbed. Now it was nowhere to be found, blanketed by the clouds.

I was making sure not to speed since I knew the Veyron was a demon in the field of speed, boasting a speed limit of about 430.9 km/hr. This is quite an unbelievable speed limit for a roadster. Deeming it the fastest car on the road. I knew I will have had a huge problem with the traffic control police on the highway roadblocks if I had decided to speed up a little bit. Though I was curious to put my car to the test; if it was what they say it was. A speed demon. I had thought the Ferrari LaFerrari by Ferrari was the fastest, but when Buggati Automobiles S.A.S produced this version of the Veyron, I had to put my hands on it. Everyone on the social media praised it and this triggered me to spend a million something to have it in my collection of grand cars. I think I'm the likes of Vin Diesel when it comes to cars. I love them.

Themba was trailing behind me in the Limousine as we traversed through the seemingly unending maze of raspberry fields. Other cars were whizzing past us as they raced towards the opposite direction. I could see people raising their heads from tending the small raspberry trees trying to have a glimpse of the best car ever made. The Buggati Veyron Grant Sport Vitesse. Some even waved their hands at the two grand cars passing through their fields. They thought it was some government minister passing through but unknown to them it was just me and my driver. I could tell by the way some were running towards the wide tarmac. This made me chuckle a little bit. I just suppressed pride from taking me away like a whirlwind storm. Pride is the key self destruction, so I have learned.

The Buggati Veyron is one of the most powerful supercars in the world. With an engine that boasts 16 cylinders, which were essentially formed by joining two V8 engines at the crank. It claims 1,200 horsepower, which in itself was a major technical achievement in the twenty-first century. This was made feasible by fitting the convertible with four enlarged turbo changers and intercoolers. The W16 powerplant displaces 8.0 litres and features ten radiators for everything from the engine cooling system to the air conditioner. Power is transmitted to the pavement via four-wheel-drive a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission.

This car could hit 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds, 100 miles per hour in 5.5 seconds, and 150 miles per hour in 9.8 seconds. Getting to 200 miles per hour takes it 18.3 seconds, and 250+ miles per hour takes 42.3 seconds. A special key is required to "unlock" the Veyron's top speed. When it reaches this speed,it is lowered to just 3.5 inches from the ground. A hydraulic spoiler at the top of the trunk extends out at this speed, and it also serves as an air brake. The Veyron weighs a hulking 4,160 lbs, but its handling on the road is surprisingly sharp. These specifications lured me to part away with a lump sum of US$1 750 000.00, purchasing this piece of metal in Molsheim,France in October 2015.

The maze of raspberry fields were now behind us, we were now heading to the next town from Raspberg, Rudolf Heights. The town built on top of cliffs, overlooking the largest and longest river in the country, the Zanga river. Named after the traditional people who lived for centuries many miles along this mighty river, the Zanga Matope tribes. This river has its source in Archipelago ( named this because of the many lakes that are in it, making its land divided by them into islands) the neighbouring country to our east. One of the lakes feeds the river, making it perennial. It stretches from this country into ours and further to Gazzaland the country in the west, then finally into the Atlantic Ocean.
