I Dont Know

Chapter 4

Me and Niall have been working on the project for two hours and I was getting tired of it. "Wanna take a break?" I ask him.

"Sure." I know what he is wondering but I didn't want him to know just yet.

"Lets go down and catch something to eat then we can meet up with my friends."

"Meet up with them?"

"Yeah like watch a movie or like go to the park. We aren't that bad." I joke. Some of them might look.... different, but they are good people.

"Oh, okay. Yeah." We get up and walk down the stairs to the large kitchen. Keri is cleaning up the kitchen but doesn't look up at us.

"We're going out."

"Okay." Is all she says. I take that as she is pissed that I made a fool of her and myself in front of a hot guy. Wait did I just say Niall is hot?

We go out and we take Brian's lime green hummer and head out to town.

"We're going to the diner down town called, The Star. It's basically a karaoke diner that me and my friends go to all the time." I explain to Niall.

"Cool. So do you sing?"

"Yeah I'm always singing. Around here we have singing pageants instead of beauty pageants so I enter those too."

"Wow, you must be good."

"For this hell hole of a town yeah, but for career wise I'm not worth shit." I'm good but I wouldn't ever make in it the real world. When I pull into the parking lot for The Star I can already spot a few familiar cars. "Lets go in." I tell Niall getting out of the car.

In The Star sitting at a table is Emily, Brenna and four of our other friends.

"Hey Jo! Who's your boyfriend?" One of my friends, Selena, asks me. Selena was gorgeous, probably the prettiest of us all in my opinion.

"This is Niall, and he isn't my boyfriend, he's just a friend."

"Oh I was really hoping you finally had a boyfriend." Selena was my friend and all but she doesn't pay attention to what comes out of her mouth.

"What does she mean by finally?" Niall whispers in my ear.

I turn around to face him. "She is just being a brat." I whisper back.

"O, what are you two whispering about?" Selena says to us.

"Nothing. Niall this is Selena, that is Louis, she's Syd, he's Liam, that's Brenna and you have already met Emily."

"Nice to meet you." Niall nods. I grab Niall's arm and drag him with me to the seats next to Brenna. We all order some food and just talk about our day. It feels almost too good to be true....

That's because it is....
