Chapter 12

Sarah's POV

I was preparing for my assignment when I heard a knock on my door. Who will be there at this time of the night. I went and open the door it was the last person I expected to see. It has been so long since I last saw Eva and when I saw her standing on my door step in a crazy condition I couldn't hold back my excitement and hugged her like my life depends on it. But the first thing I noticed is that something is terrible wrong with her. She didn't even have money to pay for the cab and I paid it for her.

She looked exhausted so I asked her to go and freshen up while I made something for her. I made ham and cheese sandwich for her. While she was eating I asked her,
" What is wrong Eva?You are hiding something from me. Tell me what has happened."

But she looked too tired.
"Can we talk tomorrow because I have lot to tell you but I am too tired."

I asked her to go and take rest and since I don't have class tomorrow I can spend time with her. When she left I returned to my study to finish off my remaining assignment. I don't know when I fall asleep while doing it.

I woke up to the delicious smell of breakfast. But when I saw Eva was the one who made it I felt guilty. She looked so tired and moreover she is my guest. How inconsiderate of me! But she told it is fine.

She started giving lectures for not having proper sleep but I know she is trying to change the topic.

So ,I asked her what happened. She looked nervous as if she is having a second thought. But I assured her and she told me everything.

I was beyond shocked. For a moment I even thought that probably Eva has probably lost her mind. But she is not that kind of girl. I don't know what she told is true or not but if this demon Troy is actually her mate , he sounded to be a total asshole. If I ever see him I will definitely give him a piece of my mind for making Eva suffer this much. How did such a sweet girl like Eva end up with such a evil demon. But seriously , does they actually exist? Demons, hells these are just myths right?

If Eva's words are right that actually means there is an afterlife. That means can I meet my parents once I die? Eva's words actually gave me hope. I miss them terribly . If there is one thing I want , it is to be with my parents. I feel so lonely without them and that is why I try to keep myself busy with works.

But my thoughts got interrupted when Eva asked for an aspirin. That girl is having high fever which made me worried. I gave her medicine and she went to sleep in the couch. In the mean time I went to take a shower.

Suddenly , I heard a knock on the main door. Oh shit! Eva is sleeping and I am taking bath. I tried to be as quick as possible but when I came down I saw Eva standing like a zombie near the door. I scolded for standing like that but suddenly my eyes fell on the guy sitting on the couch.

" Who is this gentlemen?" I asked her.

But before I finished my words the guy stood up and carried Eva to the couch"We are returning back to hell."
So, this is the so called demon king from hell but he doesn't look like a demon. But that is not my concern right now. There is no way I am letting Eva go with that prick. So, I
looked at him and told

" Whoa!Excuse me Mr. , Eva is not going anywhere with you and I am not only her friend but also her doctor. She shouldn't go anywhere in this condition."I glared at him.

" She don't needs a doctor . What she needs is her mate and I am perfectly capable of taking care of her ." He equally glared at me.

We started a glaring match and I even told him that he doesn't deserve Eva. But nothing seems to enter inside the thick skull of that demon. He started blabbering Eva is mine like a psycho demon. Even Eva told she doesn't want to go with him.

But once he started behaving possessively Eva asked me to go to my room which made me more angry.

Once I went inside my room I started calming down. I can hear their conversation and I understand one thing Troy cares about Eva. I should let him take her. May be I was being a little bit selfish because I wanted Eva to stay with me for sometime and that is why I didn't like Troy to take her back to hell. She just came here yesterday and I feel so lonely here and I wanted her to stay here for sometime. But I think they need each other .Suddenly my phone started Buzzing and it is my senior doctor. He asked me to come and assist him in a surgery and I quickly said yes. It will be difficult to say bye to Eva because I am gonna miss her terribly.

" Let me say bye to Sarah." I heard Eva's voice but before she can come upstairs I came down.

I saw another guy standing there with them. When did this person come? Probably this is the Alexander guy Eva has been talking about. I said bye to Eva and when I turned to see this so called good demon of Eva my voice got stuck on my throat. I have never seen such a handsome man in my life. Seriously, are all demons this hot? Or is it only him ? Suddenly the room temperature rose several degrees and to make matter worse I saw him staring at me intensely which made me blush. I quickly went out of the house .

I took my car to the hospital but through out my ride I keep on thinking of Alexander. Will I see him again? Omg! What am I even thinking? He is a demon , why do I even want to see him if I don't have a death wish. Yes, but a very hot demon, my subconscious reminded me. Never in my life I have felt this much attraction to any guy.

Anyway with Alexander's thought in my mind I went to the hospital. The surgery went well and after transferring the patient to his ward I came out of the hospital.

But what I didn't expect was a smirking Alexander leaning on my car. As soon as he saw me he gave me a full smile which made him look more handsome.

" Hello there, Dr. Sarah. I was searching for you. You know something , I am terribly sick and I think there is only one doctor who can cure me."

" And what exactly are you suffering from?"I asked him.

"I don't think you can diagnoise me because there is no treatment for madly being in love." He winked and my eyes went wide . Is this demon flirting with me.

" Do you know something?" I asked him .

" What?"

" You just used the most pathetic pick up line to ask out a doctor." I tried to maintain a straight face but my heart was beating very fast. He took few steps towards me .

"Is it so? Then why are you blushing? And how many other people have used pick up lines to ask you out?" In the end his eyes turned a little dark.

" That is not your concern. Anyway why are you here?"

" Everything which concerns you is my concern. And I am here for you." He looked directly into my eyes which is enough to melt me.

" What do you mean?" I have no idea . Why is he here? Did he come to kill me. Demon's take soul to hell . Does that mean I am going to die?

When I was busy thinking I didn't realize he has closed the remaining gap and our bodies are almost touching. He removed a lock from my face and whispered to me.

" You are mine Sarah . Remember that. I will come back for you." With that words I saw him disappear into thin air.
