Chapter 24

3 days before the wedding

Both Nick and Sam has stopped speaking to me. I haven't seen Sam since the day I told him about my wedding. Nick on the other hand is altogether a different thing. He told me that he respects my choice but he cannot accept the fact that I will be getting married this soon. I guess he secretly thought that I will broke up with him after a few days.

Even when mom called him to help her with the wedding preparations he declined telling that he has some other important work. I can't believe that my own brother is behaving in this manner.

On the other hand Alexander is high on energy. He has become my mom's right hand man. My mom just needed to say the words and he was fulfilling it.

I already went for the dress fitting and it will be ready by tomorrow. I don't know what Troy is doing right now. Alexander told me that Troy is busy with some problems in hell. He didn't elaborate any further. My mom told me that I am not allowed to see Troy till the wedding day.  It was an age old tradition of my family. Troy respects her wishes that is why he don't even come to meet me during the night also.

Currently, my mom and Alexander was sitting on the drawing room calculating the guest numbers.

I don't know what else to do so I was simply lying on the sofa and watching TV. I heard the door bell ring.

I went to opened the door. Something flew and jumped towards me.

"Evalineeeeee.." Sarah screamed near my ears while giving me a tight hug.

"Sarah." I was so happy to see her. She told me that she can only come for the wedding. Sam had already ditched me. But seeing Sarah I forgot all my worries.

"Yes. I took 3 days leave for your wedding. We have so much to do. Mostly your Bachelorette party. I have planned something special for you. It's not everyday you get married." She gave me a mischievious smile.

Usually she loves to be drowned in books but once she leaves her book she is something else.

We were laughing and as we entered inside the drawing room her eyes turned into saucers.

Alexander who was discussing something with mom looked towards us and as soon as his eyes fell on the person next to me his face turned thousands shade brighter.

"Hi Aunty. Hi Alexander." She greeted them but I saw her face has turned into a tomato.

My mom looked surprised.

"You know Alexander?" She asked her.

"Yes. I have met him once when Evaline came to my house." She looked uncomfortable and Alexander cocked an eyebrow at her.

"Ohh.. I see." She looked between them and didn't say any further.

"Alex dear. You have to go to that flower shop and confirm all the orders." My mom turned and told him.

"What? Now? Can't I go later?" He whined.

"Nope. You have to go now. Or else they won't be able to get the ones I want. It will take time." My mom said in a no nonsense tone.

"Fine. But do I have to go alone?" He looked hopefully towards Sarah.

"Ohh.. you can take Bingo with you." She told. Sarah and me broke out laughing.

Alexander grumbled something and left. Sarah and me we both left to our room. I have so many things to tell her.

In the evening Sarah asked me to get ready. She has selected a club for my bachelorette party. She has invited some of our high school friends also. She chose a beautiful dress for me.
