"We can't leave it in there, god knows what it's doing to the water." Lori says.

"Easy, put a bullet in its head." T-Dog mumbles.

"Woah guys no." Maggie disagrees.

"I agree with Maggie." I speak up, she gives me a small nod.

"It's a good plan." Glenn tries.

"It's a stupid plan, if that thing hasn't contaminated the water yet blowing it's brains out will finish the job." I explain, Shane nods in agreement.

"She's right, we can't risk it." We came up with a way which was to lower a piece of meat on a rope into the well so it'd distract the 'swimmer' then use another rope to get it around the 'swimmer'. But that plan didn't work.

"We need live bait." Andrea says.

"Megan?" Shane asks, I give him a look.

"Wait what?"

"No way." Glenn scoffs.

"And why not?" Shane argues.

"Because Daryl would kill us all and so would Darren if we let Megan go down. I'm surprised you even suggested her when you claim you like her." I let out a smile knowing Glenn was right.

"Whatever." Shane sighs before looking at Glenn. "Why don't you do it then Glenn?"

"What. No you can't." I try.

"We have to send someone." T-Dog mumbles.

"I'll do it." Glenn speaks, we send him down. As soon as he started to scream we pull him back up.

"Pull the rope!" I shout as soon as I see that Glenn did what we sent him down for, we all pull but only to have the walker split in half. T-Dog beats it's head with a hammer while Maggie turns away in disgust.

"Good thing we didn't do anything stupid like shoot it." T-Dog says.

"We should cover the well up." Dale insists.

"Good idea." Shane nods.

The next day we were out searching for Sophia and Rachel, I just got back.

"Daryl not with you?" Rick asks me.

"No?" I give him a confused look. "I didn't realise he went out today."

"Walker! Walker!" Andrea shouts, Shane and T-Dog grabbed weapons as Rick tried to remind them Hershel wanted to deal with walkers but they didn't listen, they ran towards the walker. Rick gives me a stressed look before running after them, I follow behind only to slow down when Rick pointed his gun at the walker.

"Daryl?" I say.

"This is the third time ye've pointed tha' thing at my head. Ye' gon' pull the trigger or what?" Daryl snaps, Rick puts the gun down only for a gunshot to be heard and Daryl collapsing on the floor. I run to his side.

"Daryl!"

"No! No!" Rick shouts, the bullet had only grazed him luckily.

"I wa' kiddin'." Daryl mumbles before close his eyes, Rick and Shane drag Daryl back across the field. Andrea and Dale run towards us.

"Is he dead?" Andrea asks with horror in her voice, I give her a look as she looks at me. She quickly looks away.

"Unconscious. You just grazed him." Rick replies.

"Yer' lucky it wa' jus' tha'." I mumble loud enough for Andrea to hear me.

"Look at him! He's wearing ears!" Glenn points out, Rick takes the necklace and puts it in his pocket for now.

"Lets keep that between us."

It's been a few days since the incident, Hershel said he'll be fine. I was waiting for Carol to come back from seeing Daryl so I could go see him.

"Baby you alright?" Shane asks me.

"Yeah I guess."

"Listen he's okay, he knows how to take care of him self. Carol's probably gonna look after him so don't worry okay?" I nod slightly as he places a kiss on my lips, kissing Shane isn't like kissing Daryl. Don't get me wrong he's good but Daryl's different, he's always been different since the first time we kissed back when I was 18.

"So are you two a thing now?" Rick asks.

"Yup." Shane smiles.

"Good on ya man, glad you're both happy." Carol comes back, I watch her as she walks into the kitchen.

"Go on baby. It's okay, I know he's a close friend of yours." Shane whispers into my ear, I give him a quick kiss before going to where Daryl was.

"Dixon." I say after knocking on the door, I open it slightly only to see it looked like he was sleeping. I walk in and sit on the edge of the bed making sure not to wake him, I see the bandage around his head it had some blood on it. I sigh a little, even though me and Daryl have been through a lot together I still cant stand him getting hurt. It breaks my heart seeing him hurt even though I know he's not usually bothered when he's hurt. "Darren's a lot like ye'. He has a bit of a temper like ye', hell he used te' talk like ye' when we visited before. He loves the outdoors, I bet he's sick of 'em now though." I let out a small chuckle. "He wa' very athletic till he left school at 16. An' Rachel, god she's got the Dixon attitude. Jus' like ye' an' Merle, couldn't win an argument with 'er most times. When we find 'er, I promise te' tell 'er who ye' are an' who Merle is. She'll love havin' 'er daddy, so now it wont jus' be me an' Darren having te' put up with 'er thinkin' it's funny te' torment us." I let a tear slip.

"Been a while since ye' talked like me without gettin' pissed off." I look up to see Daryl looking at me.

"Well it aint gonna last long."

"Damn shame." Silence. "So Rachel really got my attitude?"

"Oh god yes! I love that she listens to you though."

"She knows I'm in charge. An' Darren, he takes after me?"

"Yeah. Can I ask you to do me something, when you're able to of course."

"What?"

"Teach him how to hunt or how to use a gun or crossbow. He knows a bit but not much, I never let him use guns or anything like that."

"Yeah I will. Is this ye' lettin' me talk te' him an' stuff? Cause back at camp ye' didn't wa-"

"I know. I guess i was just angry, but they deserve their dad." He smiles.

"Thank ye' Darlin'."

"Welcome Dixon."

"Will ye', uh tell me more about em'?"

"I will. But not now, you need to rest."

"Deal. Now go, Shane probably lookin' fer ye'."

"I take it you know."

"Yeah, not hard te' figure out." I shake my head a bit. "An' Carol told me, I didn't really speak te' 'er much. She did all the talkin' an' I jus' sat 'ere not really bothered but I guess it was better than havin' no company."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about me and Shane."

"Don't be. It 'as nuthin' te' do with me, ye' know tha'."

"Yeah." I kiss the top of his head before leaving.
