First Day

Luke P.O.V
It's been a month since the incident and I've been totally fine but today is the first day at my new school. But of course Lauren insisted on driving me like I can drive myself but she was like no and this was to pay me back for saving her life.
I look at the time and see that it's 6:00 and Lauren is picking me up at 7. I hop into a quick shower and then put on a red undershirt and then a plaid shirt over it and button it up a little. I put on some jeans and grab my cross and put it on. I then fix my hair up and I go downstairs to make some breakfast and I see that Eric is already gone to the academy.
He graduates in a month which is pretty exciting and once he does we don't have to worry too much about money. I poor myself a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. These things are so good. After I finish I go and brush my teeth and I make sure I look good for my first day.
I go and grab my bag and see that it's 6:55 and Lauren should be here in 5 minutes. School starts at 7:20 and it's about 5 minutes away. I then hear a honking and I see Lauren in the driveway and I go out and hop in the passenger seat.
"Morning Laur" I tell her and she looks tired, like really tired.
"You didn't have to do this ya know, I can tell that your tired" I tell her and she shakes her head.
"I wanted to" she said and then we drove off.
We arrived at the school and I took a deep breath.
"2:00 right?" She said and I nodded
"Yeah no practice on the first day which is weird" I tell her and she chuckles.
"Have fun Lukey!" She chirps and I laugh, that's her nickname for me now.
"Bye Lorenzo" I say and hop out of her car and walk up to the entrance. This is it, and with that I walk in and head to the main office.
I walk into it and explain that I'm new and she tells me to go into the principles office. I nod and walked in and saw the principle sitting there and it looked sorta creepy like in one of those movies and their like "I've been expecting you" or something.
I go and shake his hand and then sit down.
"Hello Luke, pleasure to meet you and I've informed your coach of the incident about a month ago and he's not gonna push you too hard right away." He tells me and I nod, I don't wanna say no to the principle right away so I just go with it.
"I can see that your a very bright and smart young man, a hero as well" he says and I give him a small smile.
"Though I do know of your parents and I'm truly sorry, if you ever need anything you can just tell the lady at the front desk it's Luke and you can talk to me or just go to your guidance counselor." He tells me and I nod and with my that he hands me my schedule and explains where I have to go and I walk out.
I walk to my first class which is AP chemistry and I'm not looking forward to it. I walk into the class and the teacher motions me to a seat in the back next to some guy who's talking to a bunch of people, I guess he's the jock or something.
I sit down next to him and wait for class to start.
"Hey new kid" I heard someone say and I looked to see that the kid next to me was calling me.
"Yeah?" I answer him
"Where you from" he asks
"New York" I respond nicely and he nods.
"Names Jack" he says
"Luke" I respond and he nods
"You play sports?" He asked and I nodded
"Soccer" I tell him and his face lit up
"Cool what position" he asked me
"I play striker or center mid" I tell him
"Left wing" he says and I nod.
Maybe this school isn't gonna be so bad after all. It's finally lunch time and Jack told me to sit with them at lunch and as I was going to some guy came up to me and slammed me into the wall.
"You think you can just walk into this school new and act like you own the place?" The guy said and he looked pretty old to be a senior and he smelt like alcohol, disgusting. Someone then pulled him off and it was jack.
"Get out of here Jax" he said sternly and the guy who I assume is Jax walked away mumbling things under his breath.
"Don't worry about him, just stay clear of him and you should be fine" Jack tells me and I nod and go sit down with them. Well that was unexpected.
Lauren P.O.V
It's almost time to go pick up Luke, I looked at the car and it read 1:15 and I was gonna leave at 1:50 so I had some time. Tomorrow Lisa is going to the doctor to hopefully get crutches and she's so excited. I wonder how Luke's day has been, hopefully no bullies and I hope the people there are nice.
"You going to pick up Luke?" I hear someone say and I look and see Lisa. I give her a nod and she smiles.
"Did you guys even confess your feelings yet?" She asked me and I blushed.
"No because he dosen't like me, we are friends Lisa but what about you and Eric?" I turn the question around on her.
"He dosen't like me Lauren chill out" she says and I laugh.
"Whatever you want to believe Lisa because he is definitely head over heels for you" I tell her and she blushes. I like Luke and she likes Eric it's obvious but they don't like us back and they are probably not even looking for a relationship and trying to get over the fact that their parents are gone. I look at the time and see that I have to leave and I say bye to Lisa and get into the car and drive to his school.
I pull in and see Luke walking out with some other kids, he made friends! I wave him over and he sees me and says bye too his friends and walks over and hops in. Though I do hear some of the guys howling and I blush and Luke hides his head.
I put the car in drive and start driving back to his house.
"How was it?" I asked him and he shrugged
"Good except for this one kid who slammed me for no reason, from what people told me is that he's actually 21 years old and he's a druggie but he fails all his classes and can't graduate" he tells me and I gasp.
"Stay away from him then" I tell him and he nods and before we know it were back at his house.
"Well thanks for the drive, I'm gonna drive for the rest of the year tho because I have practice but I'll see you around Laur!" He said and waved goodbye and I waved back and he walked inside.
I started the car and drove home. At least he had a pretty good day but I hope he steers clear of that Jax guy, he sounds like bad news to me.

A/N: And here's the next chapter guys! Who do you think his Jax guy is and is he more to the story than you think? Who knows? Oh yeah me.. Haha! Hoped y'all liked it!
