XLIX. INT. COFFEE SHOP. DAY.
We're almost at the end of the story, my friends. I'm now telling you the story of one important person I haven't talked about, the owner of our little coffee shop.
Let me tell you something about Mr. Connor Franta. He cares about three things: business, coffee and Eris. But before Eris entered his life, he was out and proud.
Right after Eris left for Harvard, Kian and JC arrived at his coffee shop. Kian enters the shop, JC entered next.
CONNOR
Finally, you're here!
Connor, Kian and JC bro-hugged each other.
CONNOR
You can sit down for a while. We'll open in a few.
Kian and JC sat on a table. Connor went to get the iced latte he and Eris prepared before she left.
Connors goes back to Kian and JC's table with the drinks.
CONNOR
Here! Have my iced latte! That's a bestseller!
Kian and JC took a sip of Connor's iced latte.
JC
Connor this is awesome! Who made this?
CONNOR
Me! With a little help from my girlf---
Oops! He hasn't told them he has a girlfriend, and both of them know he's gay.
KIAN
Girlfriend? You have a girlfriend?
Connor's eyes widened but he's busted. He nods.
JC
But I thought you were gay? You came out last year.
CONNOR
I thought I was, until I met this girl.
JC
Are you sure you're in love with this girl, and not for covering up that you're gay?
CONNOR
Dude, I am serious about my girlfriend. And besides, love has no gender. The moment you felt it, that's it.
JC
You're right. Love has no gender. Happy for you, Con.
KIAN
So, when are we going to meet your girlfriend?
CONNOR
Actually she just left before you arrived.
KIAN
What time is she coming back?
CONNOR
Summer. She's studying.
JC
That's nice. A college girl.
CONNOR
She's just our age. Not in college but in law school.
JC
Wow a lawyer girlfriend!
CONNOR
Don't jinx it.
KIAN
So, is she from Yale? Stanford?
CONNOR
That's none of your business!
Connor checks the time, they're about to open.
CONNOR
You guys good? We're about to open.
Kian and JC finished their beverages and followed Connor inside the counter.
