Fast forward to a few hours before Eris comes back from Harvard that Connor doesn't know yet, Kian and JC plans to dare Connor.
KIAN
Hey Con!
CONNOR (at the cashier)
What is it?
KIAN
JC and I have come up with a dare for you.
CONNOR
What the fuck? Get to work!
KIAN
Please, Connor.
CONNOR
Okay, fine. What's this stupid dare?
KIAN
We dare you... to kiss Shane Harvey.
CONNOR
If this is because of me outing myself to all of you and then one moment everything changed then okay! Challenge accepted!
Connor smiles and shakes Kian's hand.
Get out of the scene, Kian! We're waiting for an important phone call.
Connor's phone rings, you've guessed it.
CONNOR (picks up his phone)
Hello?
ERIS (on the phone)
Look outside your window!
Connor, still with his phone on his ear, runs closer to the window and looks out.
CONNOR
No. You're not here. I'm not seeing you outside right now. This is just my imagination!
Connor runs to the door and exits the coffee shop.
