IV. EXT. ROAD. DAY.
Eris, happy, drives down the road to Harvard, thinking about their crazy love story of how a gay fell in love with a girl.
(FLASHBACK)
It was late and Eris hasn't finished reviewing her papers for the Harvard Law qualifying test. She had finished three cups of coffee, and the coffee shop was empty except for the only employee in the shop. Eris can sense that the cashier slash waiter is already standing in front of her, ready to kick her out.
ERIS (closing her laptop and piling up the papers)
Okay, I'll leave now. I'm so sorry.
The cashier slash waiter smiled.
CASHIER/WAITER
I was just going to ask you if you want another cup of my coffee. I'll sit with you.
The cashier slash waiter placed two cups of coffee on Eris' table and sat across Eris.
ERIS
I thought you were closing?
CASHIER/WAITER
I changed my mind. I can close this whenever I want, I'm the owner.
ERIS (mouth dropping)
What?
CASHIER/WAITER (smirks)
I get that a lot. I own this place, I'm also the cashier and waiter.
ERIS
Wow. So much for manpower.
The cashier slash waiter took a sip of his coffee.
CASHIER/WAITER
Well, my parents owned this place. Then it got turned over to me, so I handle pretty much everything now.
CASHIER/WAITER(holds out his hand ready to shake Eris')
I'm Connor. Connor Franta.
ERIS (shaking Connor's hand)
I'm Eris. Eris Scott.
I'm not going to tell you every flashback now. If you want to read more flashbacks, read the fast forward ending of the canceled fanfic the writer wrote.
(BACK TO PRESENT)
Eris reached Harvard safely.
