XLVII. INT. COFFEE SHOP. AFTERNOON.
Karma sits down at their table while JC remained standing.
SHANE
Hey JC!
JC
Hey Shane!
KARMA
Enough Hey-ho's! JC, we've got to clear this thing. The hookup, I mean.
JC
I wanted to clear things up between both of us since that day. It's you who's been avoiding me all this time!
Shane glares at Karma.
KARMA (pointing a finger at Shane)
Don't.
Karma brushes off stray hair from her face. Karma sighs.
KARMA
Okay. I've been avoiding you, right. It's because Lia's my friend and I think she's into you and I don't want to destroy this thing between you two.
JC
Really? Lia likes me?
KARMA
She told me she kinda likes this guy from the coffee shop, I wasn't sure who it was back then.
JC
We don't have a thing... yet. Just these exchange of stares and hi's from that window.
Karma comes up with a brilliant idea. She looks at Shane and he gives that both eyebrows raised look.
SHANE
You have an idea. What's that?
KARMA
JC, I really want to make it up to you and I'm sorry if I've been avoiding you when we should've cleared things up in the first place. How about, I'll introduce you to Lia?
JC's heart skipped a beat, and him ending up smiling.
JC
Deal!
Karma and JC shakes hands. Karma's phone rings.
KARMA
Will you guys excuse me?
Karma exits the scene.
