Reader X Hinata

A/N: this was requested by, FEGirl, hope you enjoy! Also, I'm so sorry about how late I did it, I was on Vacation. Also... I cracked my phone so my stories might have... malfunctions... just let me know if you notice anything. Anyway, here it is! Also... I can't tell if Hinata is ooc or not.

   You swung her sword, the air whistling as she did. She hit her target, a battered dummy. "Hey, Y/N," a voice called from behind you. Y/N turned around, her E/C eyes alert.

"Hinata? Is that you?" You asked. Hinata laughed.

"Don't worry, it's only me," Hinata replied.

"Do you mind helping me train, I mean, you're here now," you requested.

"How could I say no to someone like you?" Hinata said, winking. You didn't know what he meant, but you chose to ignore it for now. You withdrew your Yato, as he did his Katana. He made the first move, swinging at you, hitting your side. HARD. You stumbled back, coughing a bit. When he tried to hit you again, you matched his blow with yours. He pushed his Katana against your Yato, and you fell.

  "Y/N? Are you okay?" Hinata said, eyes wide. "Did I hurt you?"

"No, Hinata. I'm fine," you replied. He didn't seem convinced.

"Does your side hurt?" Hinata fretted. You giggled.

"I scraped my knee when I fell, and my side hurts a bit. But honestly, I'm fine," you said.

"Do you need to see Sakura?" He pressed.

"Hinata, in a real fight, I'd be dead by now. I'll count myself lucky," you responded.

"Good, I don't know what I'd do if I hurt you!" Hinata said. You were confused now. He was acting a bit differently.

"I appreciate  your concern," you offered. He relaxed visibly.

"Hey, Y/N, can I tell you something?" Hinata asked.

"Of course! You can tell me anything," you replied.

"Well, I really like you," Hinata began. "But It's a shame I'm not good enough."

You were mad now. How could he think he wasn't good enough? To you, he was more important than any royal could!

"Hinata, how could you think that? Of course you're good enough! How could you think you're not?" You hissed, storming off.

"No!" He said, reaching out to catch your wrist. You turned around and you were about to say something cross, but his next words stopped you.

"Please don't ever go away! I really love you, you know? I will make sure to keep you safe!" He exclaimed in desperation. Your heart melt and your furious gaze softened.

"Hinata," you whispered. "I love you too!" Happy tears pricked at your eyes.

"My one and only princess!"
