Annabeth and Me (A Percy Jackson Fanfiction)

My Pegasus Takes Me to see My Girlfriend

Okay, just to be clear, I do not own Percy Jackson, or any other characters I mention except for the ones I make up and the plot.

I was flying along the beach on Blackjack, when I get an IM(Iris Message). Dr. Chase, my girlfriend Annabeth's dad, looks panicked. He was in his car, driving with his hands almost white on the wheel. I saw Annabeth's hair in the edge of the IM. She didn't look up.

"Percy, you have to come over here this instant! Annabeth was fighting this...this thing, and she killed it, but then she collapsed! I tried ambrosia, but it isn't working! Please come help!"

"Okay, Dr. Chase, stay calm, where are you?"

"I'm on my way there, maybe twenty miles away. But I don't think she'll make it that far without a faster ride."

"Okay, I'm coming. Drive as fast as possible without being too dangerous."

With that, I moved my hand through the mist and disconnected. Gods, it sounded like arai. "Blackjack, I need you to go fast. Really fast.

We got there in about five minutes. Blackjack can go fast when he wants to.

We landed in front of the car, which Dr. Chase had stopped when he saw us. He handed me an unconscious Annabeth, saying, "I'll drive. Don't wait for me."

I didn't. I had Blackjack fly as fast as he could back to camp. I looked at her, wondering if her day had finally come. I didn't want it to. I wanted to die  before her so I wouldn't have to be devastated over her death. It sounds selfish of me because she would have to get over my death. I don't want to put her through that. The whole time, I pleaded to the gods for Annabeth. Please gods, don't let her die. Without her, I probably can't tie my own shoes. Please don't let her die.

I'm sorry that this is such a short first chapter, but I wanted to get something out there, you know? Anyway, this, along with my other story, Changeling, are my first fanfictions. If this isn't great, sorry. I don't always care what people think. But really, please do comment, I love feedback. I'll mention anyone who writes something really hilarious or cool in my next chapter, unless it's already written. I'm always busy with school, but track ends tomorrow, so I should have more time. Plus Summer's almost here!
