I had Blackjack fly as fast as he could back to camp. I looked at her, wondering if her day had finally come. I didn't want it to. I wanted to die before her so I wouldn't have to be devastated over her death. It sounds selfish of me because she would have to get over my death. I don't want to put her through that. The whole time, I pleaded to the gods for Annabeth. Please gods, don't let her die. Without her, I probably can't tie my own shoes. Please don't let her die.

Percy POV

I lay her on the bed in the Big House. Chiron had looked at her and was getting supplies. She had woken up.

"Percy, I need to go. Don't follow me." She rasped.

"What? No, you can't! Annabeth, you can't leave me. I need you! Jessie does too!" I was begging. She couldn't die. We had Jessica, our four-year-old daughter. I didn't want her to grow up with only one parent, as I had. I could not lose my wife. We were almost thirty now, we had lived this long, why die now?

"Stay with me Anne. Please, please." My voice cracked. Tears were streaming down my face. "Please don't go, please don't leave." I repeated over and over. Jason and Leo had come in, but I barely noticed them.

Chiron came back with ambrosia.

"No Chiron. It's my time. I can feel it."

"No, no, no, no, no! It's not your time, Annabeth. Don't you dare die, Wise Girl!" I was sobbing now. No, this could not be happening.

"Goodbye Percy, tell Jessie I love her. Move on with your life, and don't come to the Underworld. I love you. And I'll wait for you. As long as it takes." She let out a sigh, and she died.

I sobbed, holding her to my chest. Annabeth was dead.

A/N) Sorry about the short and depressing chapter. And yes, I know, I killed Annabeth, I'm a monster. But I have a master plan. Mwahahaha!
