ID# - SHN-43

Threat Level: Level 2

Name: Unknown

SPIDER Protection Guidelines:

SHN-43 is contained inside apartment #14 in [REDACTED], located in [REDACTED], Germany. The subject is to be observed through the apartment's security cameras for any irregularities in mood or appearance. If SHN-43 disappears from view, the room should be observed through the infrared cameras. Although unlikely, if SHN-43 attempts to leave its apartment and enters another, the high-pitched noise generator should be triggered to scare SHN-43 back into its room. Five Class B agents under the guise of apartment workers currently live in the apartment complex on the same floor as SHN-43 for security reasons, along with two Class C agents that are assigned to monitor the camera feed. Other apartments on the floor have been purchased to prevent unwanted tenants from buying them.

No entry into SHN-43's apartment is allowed at this time. Effort must be maintained in spreading rumors behind SHN-43's apartment in order to discourage staff, tenants, and other guests from attempting to enter its room. Any attempts to do so from the aforementioned parties must be dealt with the utmost scrutiny.

Description:

SHN-43 is a humanoid entity that has the appearance of a female young adult with an estimated height of 1.6 meters. Subject 'wears' a spaghetti-strap dress that covers most of its upper body, and has white 'hair.' Two of its eyes are light blue, but the sclera of its left eye is entirely black. SHN-43's left eye is usually hidden by its hair. Subject's lower body can shift either into a pair of legs or a single, featureless tail, depending on if the subject is in flight or not.

SHN-43 can pass through walls and other physical matter without any difficulty. This effect can only be done while SHN-43 is in a non-physical state. Subject can force parts of its body to become physical through the use of an undefined substance (considered to be 'ectoplasm'), allowing it to interact with other objects, but it can only be done for several minutes at a time. Inversely, SHN-43 can disappear from view for an unknown amount of time. When this happens, it can only be tracked by its heat signature through infrared goggles or cameras. SHN-43's 'body' temperature is noticeably cooler than its normal environment (roughly 5 degrees celsius), making it easy to track.

The subject is normally timid and often silent. However, when it stares at the apartment's bed, SHN-43 becomes incredibly depressed. It will stare at the bed for hours on end, sometimes for days at a time. Occasionally, it will begin to cry and mumble a name which has been identified as the apartment's previous occupant. This emotional state triggers a dramatic physical change in SHN-43. Observed changes include torn and dirtied clothes, frayed hair, deep, infected cuts to its face and arms, and an unnatural spread of the sclera in its left eye via developed 'cracks' on its face. These changes can be triggered not only by sadness, but also if SHN-43 is angered or threatened. Its physical condition will worsen if its mood worsens, up to a point where witnesses have observed [QUOTATION REMOVED]. After SHN-43 calms down, it will typically enter a dormant state where it will curl up and remain motionless between an average of 4-6 hours, with its longest recorded period of dormancy at nine hours.

SHN-43 does not show any desire of leaving the current apartment it is in. It has made very few attempts to leave its apartment, and during experiments to coerce it out of its apartment, it returns to it after a few minutes. Loud noises were discovered to force SHN-43 back into its room as a security precaution after a tenant in the complex set off the fire alarm. This has also been observed to disrupt SHN-43's emotional state and force it immediately into a dormant state, however, it will stay in its dormant state for a shorter amount of time if this occurs.

It remains unknown where SHN-43 came from or if it was originally human. Studies of its behavior indicate natural responses to certain stimuli, showing that it may indeed have been human at some point. However, records have shown no similarities between SHN-43 and any individual over the last 40 years. Searches around and near the apartment complex have turned up no bodies as well. No leads have thus been discovered about SHN-43's origins. Agents have reportedly heard SHN-43 mumbling the phrase "red hair," but if this has any relevance to its death is unclear.

Incident Report 43-A:

On April 16th, [REDACTED], the body of [REDACTED], the apartment owner at the time, was discovered inside his apartment on his bed, alongside three others who were unconscious and SHN-43 in a dormant state. Agents reported no significant damage to the individuals aside from some bruises along the face, but when attempts were made to wake one of the victims, the victim's eyes opened and began screaming incoherently. After nearly two minutes, the victim stopped screaming, and fell back unconscious. The individuals were brought to the closest hospital under emergency care. [REDACTED]'s body was taken into SPIDER custody. Currently, all three victims remain hospitalized in a comatose state.

Investigation of the apartment revealed a phrase written on the apartment's mirror in a light green liquid:

LEAVE HERE

LEAVE US

LET ME BE WITH HIM
