ID# - SHN-102
Threat Level: Level 3
Name: Pink Bow*
SPIDER Protection Guidelines:
SHN-102 is located in Site-S8's nature reserve, approximately one hundred and fifty-four kilometers away from SPIDER's central headquarters. SHN-102's specific sector measures at 3.5 km2 with the surrounding walls measuring at ten meters thick. Habitat should remain undisturbed and unchanged to prevent SHN-102 from getting confused and possibly entering an aggressive state. River water that enters the sector will be filtered and cleansed for proper consumption by SHN-102. Should the amount of wildlife in the sector drop dramatically due to SHN-102's eating habits, more animals will be periodically introduced until SHN-102 is satiated and the wildlife concentration levels out.
Should a breach occur, one of the following procedures will be followed depending on the circumstance:
-If breach occurs from a third party and SHN-102 is demonstrating neutral behavior, SHN-102 will be distracted away from the source of the breach by tempting it with food or colorful material.
-If breach occurs from a third party and SHN-102 is demonstrating aggressive behavior, or if the breach was caused by SHN-102 itself, multiple barricades will be formed around SHN-102 and knockout gas will be flooded into its area. In the event the barricades fail, SHN-102 must be kept distracted at all costs and be continually gassed until it is rendered unconscious. SHN-102 will then be moved back into its sector.
Description:
SHN-102 is a currently unknown organism of unspecified gender that stands at 1.85 meters and weighs 133 kilograms. Its stance and build is similar to that of a human, but it is completely covered in fur, and shares many physical attributes of other animals, such as its sense of smell. Only four of SHN-102's teeth are visible when not hunting, but the remaining teeth will protrude out when it spots prey. Photographs suggest it has over forty teeth when eating.
Despite SHN-102's seemingly weak physique, its durability, strength, and stamina are far greater than human capacity. SHN-102 has been observed carrying several kilograms of stone and wood over long distances and at fast paces without any exhaustion. Velocity measurements put SHN-102's top speed on par with the average vehicle, reaching up to 24 meters per second. While it is unknown what the upper limits of its strength is, it does grow tired and rest, but only after a few days of activity, and only sleeping between four to six hours.
Ever since SHN-102 has been kept in captivity, it has not appeared to have taken any physical damage. This is to be noted, as SHN-102 has survived from several incidents where it should have been gravely injured without any evident harm. It has fallen from heights of varying distances (7), shot at (4), taken a blast from a grenade, had trees collapse on top of it (4), was set on fire (2), and no visible injuries were seen, and its coat remained completely intact. During Breach Incident 8, SHN-102 was spotted waist-deep in a pool of lava after several gallons had spilled into its sector. After being forcefully removed, expected damages to SHN-102's body were not visible. From these events, it is unknown if SHN-102 can actually be harmed.
Tests conducted upon SHN-102 conclude that its intelligence is on the same level as that of primates. General observations by agents and scientists alike suggest that it can understand human languages and actions. Responses from SHN-102 can be very human-like as well, once being able to complete simple math problems through holding up the correct number of fingers. SHN-102 has the capability to construct a variety of tools from materials found in the reserve as well, such as shovels and pickaxes. It particularly likes to craft bows out of the colorful fabric used to distract it and seems to have a preference to the color pink.
Although SHN-102 is considered dangerous while hostile, it behaves properly otherwise, and is usually not hostile when unprovoked. Agents approved to view SHN-102 have noted its friendliness and will often compare it to a dog through its mannerisms. Personnel who visit SHN-102 often will be treated friendlier by it, typically receiving hugs or licks to the face. Because of this, SHN-102 has been nicknamed by agents as "SPIDER's Pet."
SHN-102 was first discovered by SPIDER after a sudden surge of "Bigfoot" sightings in the city of [REDACTED], Alberta, Canada. After it was confronted in the woods outside the city, SHN-102 immediately ran off. SHN-102 was chased by SPIDER personnel for one hour and nine minutes until it was finally rendered unconscious by several canisters of knockout gas. It was transported to Site-S8 after careful consideration by Senior Agent Stephen Mark.
No, no, no. We did NOT find Bigfoot. Bigfoot isn't real, and no, I'm not hiding Bigfoot from you guys either. Okay, yes, we DID try to find Bigfoot back in the day, but it was just a guy in a suit. Yes, we were all disappointed.
