ID# - SHN-18

Threat Level: Level 3

Name: Unknown

SPIDER Protection Guidelines:

SHN-18 is currently located in Site-S6, approximately ninety-two kilometers from SPIDER's central headquarters.  Containment unit is a reinforced security chamber with walls measuring 10 m on each side.  The chamber's walls are 4 m thick and are made up of [REDACTED] material to prevent manifestations of SHN-18's abilities from occurring outside the observation deck.  Thermal imaging software must be kept operational at all times to ensure continuous monitoring of SHN-18.

In the event of a breech in containment, staff is to be evacuated from the viewing area.  SHN-18's chamber and the immediate area surrounding it will be flooded with methoxypropane to incapacitate the subject.  If the subject's hostility increases and breakout appears inevitable, the gas will be ignited.  All possible exits and entryways connecting to SHN-18's chamber will be sealed.  Should SHN-18 successfully escape and Site-S6 becomes compromised, the on-site high-yield explosives will be detonated.

Description:

Physical descriptions of SHN-18 are difficult to ascertain.  While it is generally agreed that the subject is a middle-aged man about 1.75 meters in height, finer details, such as physical blemishes and damages, thumbprint, and hair color (although it seems he has none), cannot be established.  SHN-18's race is even up to debate, but through detailed analysis, most believe he is Caucasian.  This is due to SHN-18's permanent invisibility, an ability that cannot be controlled, even by SHN-18 himself.

SHN-18's secondary ability is a limited control of force fields that allows him to create shields and walls of unknown material.  Experiments have shown that these force fields can withstand great damage, but can be seemingly destroyed if enough force is exerted upon them.  Subject can only control these fields from a certain distance around him, and cannot manifest these fields through certain materials.  It was recently discovered that the substance [REDACTED] can further hinder this ability greatly for unknown reasons.  As such, SHN-18's chamber walls are made up of it.

SHN-18 exhibits amnesia and does not appear to remember most of his history, including his acquisition of his abilities, his previous occupations, and date of birth.  SHN-18's name is even unknown, but the subject refers to himself as "Redox."  Records pertaining to SHN-18's history, including birth certificates, diplomas, or various licenses, have also remained undiscovered, preventing further background information on the subject.  However, interviews indicate that he recalls a variety of historical, mathematical, and scientific information to a surprising level, suggesting that SHN-18 had an enriching education (intelligence tests measure his IQ at 187).

SHN-18 was first discovered by SPIDER after investigation into the murder of several significant scientific figures, one of whom had a strong connection with SPIDER.  He was finally found during a stakeout after thermal radars detected his presence near [REDACTED], Oklahoma.  Subject was finally subdued and detained after a one hour and fifty-two minutes chase, during which he murdered four agents, critically wounding three, and injuring sixteen others.  Advanced containment procedures were enacted until specific protocols were designed for the subject.  Current SPIDER protection guidelines were created after the Trinity Events.
