Avengers - Bully Part 2

I shakily breathe as I look at the school in front of me, watching as students come in and out while chatting with their friends.

"Y/N, you don't have to go." Tony says softly and I shake my head.

"I can't keep running away from my problems. It's better I face them now." I say, spotting Mindy and Daniel by the entrance.

I wave at them and they smile, waving back.

I turn to the super heroes. "I have to go now. Classes should be starting soon."

"If anything happens, you call us right away." Steve reminds me and I nod.

"I will. See you later." I bid them goodbye and get out of the car, walking toward Daniel and Mindy.

I look back to see the super heroes still waiting and I glare at them, gesturing for them to go. I see Tony start the car and they drive off. I turn back to my friends, smiling tight lipped.

"Hey." I say softly.

"Hey Y/N. I'm really happy you're back. But not as happy as Daniel." Mindy says, teasing Daniel.

Daniel blushes, biting his lip. "Well, it's not a lie. I am happy you're back. I really missed you, Y/N." He smiles at me.

I smile back. "So did I."

Mindy coughs, making us avert our eyes to her. "Enough flirting. We got a class to go to." She says, grabbing us both and dragging us inside the building.

After classes came lunch which is the thing I dreaded the most. Everyone was going to be there and I was honestly a little afraid.

"Y/N? What are you doing?" Mindy's voice startled me and I coughed.

"Uh, I was just-"

Mindy cuts me off. "Finding the courage to go inside?"

I nod. "Yeah."

"Let's go in together. Ignore everyone. It doesn't matter what they think." She says and I nod.

We go inside together, making our way to the table that Daniel is sitting on.

"Well, if it isn't Little Miss Depressed. I see your attempt to 'leave' didn't work? That's too bad. Maybe you should-"

I cut Lacy off. "Maybe you should stick a cork in it. I honestly don't give a shit about what you say anymore, Lacy. I bet the only reason you like bullying others is because it makes you feel better about yourself. I'm tired of you thinking that you can say whatever you want to someone and it won't hurt their feelings. Because it does. It really does. And if you're too pathetic to see that then I honestly don't have a cure for you." I say, my hands curling into fists and Mindy grabs my forearm.

Lacy stands there shocked, her little group of friends starting to slowly walk away. Lacy scoffs. "Whatever. Like that's actually true."

"It is. You thought just because I was openly gay that you could say whatever shit it is that you wanted to say. But not anymore." A boy, Lucas, in my grade speaks up.

"You honestly are really rude. I wanted to tell you but I didn't see the point. Being your friend was never the right option." One of her friends says and I smile at her and she smiles back.

The rest of the cafeteria starts clapping and I smile, looking at Mindy who smiles back.

Lacy huffs. "Whatever. I don't need your opinions anyway." She stalks off.

Daniel comes to stand next to me. I turn to him. "So, what did you think?" I say and he smiles.

He grabs my face, crashing his lips to mine and I stand shocked. Mindy whistles loudly as well as other students.

Daniel pulls back. "I think you were amazing."

I grin, leaning into kiss him again. I tangle my hands in his hair, pulling him closer. Can you say best day ever or what?

"I'm proud of you." Clint says, hugging me.

The others agree and I laugh. "Yeah, I was pretty super."

Steve speaks up. "So, is Daniel coming over?"

I nod. "Yeah."

The boys nod. "Good." Bruce chimes and my eyes widen.

I get up. "No. No no no no no no no. No, you will not interrogate him."

"We will! We don't even know him." Thor says and I cross my arms.

"That's why he's coming over." I exclaim.

"He could be a serial killer." Tony comments and I glare at him.

"You guys are impossible." I exasperate, face palming.

Natasha laughs, throwing an arm over my shoulder. "Let's get you looking hot so Daniel won't stop staring."

I grin at her but groan when Tony says something. "No! Definitely not! Wear something decent."

"Nun-like!" Clint yells.
