“Marie.” Riku said. I opened my eyes. He helped me sit up and I leaned against him. My eyes closed. “Marie?” he asked. I moaned. “Marie, you have to get up we have to hide.” he said. My eyes opened and I stood up. I opened a black portal and we stepped in and out. We were in the underground tunnels of Twilight Town. We sat in the deepest tunnel. “what are we running from?” I asked. “they’re looking for you.” he said. It was cold down here. I shivered and turned into a cat. I meowed. He rolled his eyes and picked me up. He petted my head. I smiled. I rubbed my head on his chest. I laid on his lap and closed my eyes. I fell asleep but I heard everything that was going on. I heard foot steps and Riku stood up. I opened my eyes and he ran. I looked at him with a scared look in my eyes. He ran faster and then stopped. I couldn’t see anything and I guess he couldn’t ether. He set my on the ground and I sat on the ground. It was cold on my paws. Then I could see. I looked around me and saw Zexion. I walked into the shadows and watched them. He walked over to Riku and looked up at him. “Where’s Marxie?!” he asked. Riku didn’t say anything. “where is she?” he asked again. “I don’t know!” Riku said. I walked out of the shadows and walked around them. Zexion looked at me and ran. I guess he was one of those people that thought black cat are bad luck. I rubbed against Riku’s legs and he picked me up. “thanks.” he whispered. I meowed. We walked out and went above ground. He carried me to his house. When we were inside he set me on the ground and I shivered. I was human again. “your welcome.” I said. He hugged me and I returned it. “I feel bad about scaring him like that.” I said. “I thought he was treating you like an outsider.” “h-he was.” I said. But he was the only one that didn’t look like he cared, I thought to myself. We walked into the kitchen and sat at the table. “Son! I told you to chuck the corn!” his dad yelled. “dad! We do not live on a farm!!” Riku yelled. I always loved coming here. “hi.” I said. He looked at me then looked at Riku. “son. I do not want to hear any noises coming from your room when she’s here.” “Dad!!!! Marie is just a friend.“ Riku said. “that not what it says in your diary.” his dad said. “I don’t have a diary.” “oh. Well when your asleep you say that she-” “dad!!!!” Riku took my hand and pulled me up stairs. “he’s the whole reason I come to your house. That and you need another normal person here every now and then.” I said. I looked down and closed his eyes. “I will totally trade you dads.” he said. I looked down all traces off happyness gone. I hated my dad and he knew that. He knew that I hated to talk about my parents. “I would trade you but then I would never step foot in your house again.” I said. “sorry. I would say that I forgot but then I’d be lying.” he said. “its not your fault.” I said. I thought about home and how much I hated my parents. Then I thought about Vexen because he read my diary and tried to help me. Then I thought about Sora because he was in the same room as my diary. “oh my God.” “what?” he asked. “my diary is in Sora’s room!!!” I yelled. I opened a black portal and walked into Sora’s room. “Sora!!!” I yelled. He looked up with terrier in his eyes. He was holding my diary, open, in his hands. I was next to him in an instint, claws out and at his neck. “I told you not to read it!!!” I yelled. “you like Axel and Zexion?!?! Wait till Riku hears that. He’ll hate you.” he said. I didn’t use my claws but I did start to choke him. “Marie!!! Stop!!” Riku yelled. I had tears in my eyes and I couldn’t stop. Riku was at my side and was prying my hands off Sora’s neck. He didn’t talk he just looked at me with horror in his eyes. “I don’t joke around when I comes to my diary.” I whispered. Riku wrapped me in his arms so I couldn’t move my arms. I was shaking. “Marie calm down.” he said. I looked at him and growled a low quiet growl. He let go of me and I opened a black portal and said, “don’t follow me.” I walked into the black portal. When I stepped out I was in Twilight Town. I walked on the streets and looked at the scenery. The buildings looked old. It was pretty. This was the first time that I really got to look at Twilight Town. The other times I was here I was looking for Roxas and hiding from the organization. I had more tears in my eyes and I tried to blink them back but couldn’t. before I knew it I was talking to myself. “maybe I should go back to the organization. There’s no way I can go back home after this.” I whispered. I heard someone behind me but I didn’t think anything of it. I walked into an ally and ran into someone. “I’m so sor-” I started, looking up. He was wearing a cloak and had bright red hair. I turned around and Roxas was standing there, arms crossed. I looked down. I was surrounded. “so. Did you guys ever get into my room?” I asked looking up with a smirk. They didn’t look happy. “Marxie, what the heck are you thinking?! Riku and Sora could find you!” Axel said. Thanks for the reminder, I thought. “I can fend for myself.” I said. I tried to walk by them but they wouldn’t let me. I couldn’t use the black portal they would follow me. I used super speed to run past them. I ran to Riku’s house and up to his room. He wasn’t there. I ran to Sora’s house and to his room and they were there. I shut the door and sat in front of it. I was out of breath. “Marie?” Riku asked. “they’re still looking for me. Axel and Roxas found me.” I said. I looked at them and Sora still looked scared. “Sora, I’m sorry. I told you not to touch my diary and you didn’t listen.” I said. “guys I really am sorry. You guys have been my friends for a long time. I get mad sometimes. Everyone does and I didn’t mean it. I was mad at you but I really didn’t want to hurt you. I would never hurt you guys on purpose. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. If you want me to, I’ll leave and I’ll never come back. Just please don’t be mad at me.” I cried. “Marie he’s not mad anymore.” Riku said. I looked at him and sighed. “Please don’t hurt me.” Sora said. “why would I -” I looked at him in shock. He told Riku. I looked down and closed my eyes. I slid to the floor. “I’m sorry.” I mumbled. I hid my face in my knees and the tears were coming back. I took a deep breath. “Marie, is there something you would like to tell me?” Riku asked. I shook my head no. it was getting dark out so we went to bed. Sora was the first to sleep, then Riku. “I’m sorry, Riku.” I whispered. I knew he didn’t hear me but I needed to hear myself say it. “I’m sorry.” I cried.
