Once Natsu got home he was greeted by the blazing fiery of Igneel. His dad went on to lecture him but Natsu couldn't hear anything. He just sat there on the boring tan couch trying to go over everything that happened that day. He was forcefully pulled from his bubble of loneliness. For the first time in 12 years he had something to look forward to.
"Are you even listening to me?!!!"
"Huh?"
"...............Natsu....... I don't know what to do with you........"
"Why don't you just throw me away......"
"Oh my.......... Is this what this is about?" His father's expression went from burning hot fiery to a look of sadness.
"....................No."
"Then why did you run away?"
"Don't say it like that!"
".............."
"I DIDN'T RUN AWAY!!!"
"Natsu...... Calm down." Igneel reached out to his son.
"NO!" Natsu slapped Igneel's hand away from him. Igneel stared at him for a moment before letting out a sigh.
"I'm going to start dinner." Igneel stood up and walked to the black and white kitchen. Natsu got up and ran up to his room. He slammed the door and jumped in bed. He buried his face in the black and white covers and cried. He cried and cried and cried until he got a migraine.
Natsu woke up to realize he was running late. He was never late. He always woke up on time....... What was different? He got up in a frenzied panic and threw his clothes on. He skipped "eating" breakfast and brushing his teeth. He shouted bye to his dad and ran out the door. He ran to school in a hurried rush. He didn't want to be late. He needed to....... He needed to.......... He started to slow down. Why did he want to go to school so much?..........
When Natsu finally got to school he was sweating bullets. He stood at the front doors gasping for air. He had five minutes to get to class. Natsu pulled the large doors open. He was greeted by stares. All were from people who either saw the "fight" or heard about it. He heard people whispering. He quickly pushed through the crowd of people. He was beginning to question why he was so eager to go to school before. He was once again drowning. His lungs were once again filled with fire.
He finally got to his locker. He opened it and threw his stuff in. He took out a few notebooks and a box of color pencils. He ran to his first class. Mr. Clive. His favorite teacher. Thank Mavis. He opened the classroom door and walked in. Everything was quiet. There wasn't a single whisper. It was silent. Sometimes silent is violent. He could feel everyone's stares burning through him. He looked around for an empty seat. He looked towards the corner of the room by the window. There was an empty seat right by the window. It had his name on it. Leave it to Ol' Gildarts to spoil him like that. He walked over to it and sat down. He could still feel everyone's eyes gazing at him. Suddenly the silence was broken by Principal Makarov's booming voice coming from the announcement system.
"Natsu Dragneel please report to the principal's office imminently." Natsu slowly stood up. He grabbed a notebook and a pencil and counted his footsteps as he walked through the silent halls. Sometimes silent is violent.
When he got to the principal's office he was greeted by the sweet secretary, Mirajane. The other secretary, Kinana was jolting down notes. She looked up to give a gentile smile. He walked up to the door and was about to open it when a blond headed senior slammed the door open and stomped past him rambling on and on about something. Natsu stared at him for a while before quickly turning his attention to principal Makarov. He sat down on one of the uncomfortable office chairs and looked at the unusually small principal.
