During WWII, America and Canada were kidnapped and tortured by the Germans. When neither of them would talk and the soldiers found out they were brothers, they tortured Canada brutally in front of America. Canada yelled at him to keep is mouth shut which only made them hurt him more. America tried to tell the Germans that he didn't know anything (which was true) but they kept torturing him. When it was finally over, both nations were sobbing. After being put back in their cell with the other prisoners, America held onto Canada tightly and wouldn't let go.
