Scotland doesn't regret the wars he faced against England. He doesn't regret trying to become independent of him. But, he regrets the example he set for him. When they were still close, he treated him horribly and still claimed to love him, which warped England's view of love in a family. Scotland was horrified at the way England treated a lot of his colonies, only to realize that it reminded him of himself.
