"Names Sara." She said as she held her hand out for a handshake. I shook her hand, "Alex." I said. She nodded and looked around the diner. I took acouple more sips of my coffee and she sat down accross from me. "Looks like Dixon's got his eye on ya." She whispered. "Huh?" I said as I slowly looked around. There was a man accross the room, sitting there, staring at me with his beautiful blue eyes. I blushed and when he noticed I was looking at him, he quickly turned away and looked back at his menu. He wore dirty ripped up blue jeans, a plaid sleeveless shirt. He looked dirty, as if he had gotten done working on cars.
I had to admit, he was attractive, in a sexy redneck way. I looked back at her and she had a smirk on her face. "He was definately checking you out." She whispered again. I blushed even more and turned my attention back to my coffee. I took a sip and looked back up at her, "What's his deal?" I asked. She let out alittle chuckle, "his names Daryl. He usually keeps to himself. He can be rude and stubborn at times but i don't know. He comes in here all the time. He's a mystery." She whispered. I nodded and finished my coffee.
I tried handing her money but she softly pushed it away, "Don't worry bout it hun." She said as she smiled and got up to walk away. I let out a big sigh and stood up and headed out the door. I got in my truck and head to a small grocery store. I picked up acouple things and headed back to my cabin. I pulled in the drive way and headed inside. I put my grocerys away and began to put the rest of my things away.
When I was done, it was already 4:00pm. I let out a big sigh and headed to the kitchen to make dinner. I made myself tacos and sat down on the couch and ate. When I was done, I grabbed a wine cooler and walked out to the back porch. I sat down on the stairs and admired the scenery. Nothing but trees and trees. Left like I was in a horror movie, waiting for something to pop out of the bushes and murder me. I let out a chuckle, I finished the rest of my wine cooler and headed inside.
I sat back down on the couch and grabbed my phone and decided to call my manager. It rang 3 times and he finally answered. "Hello?" He said. "Hey Drew, just called to say thanks for having the movers put my new furniture in." I said. "Of course girly, hope your enjoying it there." He said. "Everything's good. Just having a hard time figuring out what to do in this small town." I said. "Well, I had a cousin who lived down there once, said there was a nice bar on Davis street." He said. "Alright, I'll check it out. Thanks again Drew." I said before hanging up. A bar, well, I guess it's better than sitting here by myself with nothing to do.
